Yours is a network printer. Log into it using Internet Explorer using it's network address (typically http://192.168.1.xxx and it will give you the levels for each toner. On mine which isn't the same model the LCD has 4 colour bars and a display of the levels above the each bar. To prolong toner life check the recalibration menu and make it as infrequent as possible

    Press OK to enter the menu

    Use the right arrow until you see reports

    Press OK

    Press right arrow until you see Supplies status and press OK

    It will then print out a page telling you how much toner is in each cartridge.

Laserjet m1212nf mfp, getting "suppy

Supply memory error is referring to a defective toner cartridge. Actually it's the electronics chip that is attached to the cartridge. The printer gets toner information by reading the chip. Replace the cartridge.

The red tringle light is on. What is wrong?

This triangle means that the toner supply is needed. It comes first as a steady triangle meaning toner is running low and eventually flashing triangle which means toner is completely empty and copy cannot run. There are two methods of replacing toner ;
Refilling and cartridge replacing.
  • You can refill by opening the waste container and then removing the lid on the unit. Use a sprout provided in Sharp Al1000 toner bottle or improvise by folding a paper into a funnel shape.
  • For cartridge , pullout the old cartridge and replace with a Sharp Al100td cartridge.
Nice time.

C6280 printer color why does it say replace cartridge even after i put a new one in

Hi, This printer takes the "02" cartridges. If the cartridge is not being detected is because the "chip" in the cartridge is defective. Also because this printer takes 6 cartridge, make sure when you are changing the cartridge you are meant to change. For example lets say that blue and light blue are both low. Then light blue actually runs out and needs replacing. Make sure you do replace teh light blue instead of teh blue.
A way to validate this would be in the default screen of your printer the display show the amount of ink remaining on each colour. If you are replacing the one with no "bars" and with the warning symbol and after insertion the printer doesn't recognize the supply (ie shows the message of "HP original supply installed" and go through a "maintenance routine", the your supply is defective :(

Replaced black toner..now printer won't print any

In this case, actually it is not the Black toner that got depleted. Here the message being displayed indicate that one of the color Toner supply need to be replaced as it got depleted and currently the printer is printing in Black and white using the Black toner cartridge.

in this case, to troubleshoot these issues please try performing the following and check for the results.

* 1. Check for the level of the toner cartridges:

a) Check from the HP Toolbox application. Here are the steps to be performed from your PC:

* Access the Toolbox software.
* Select the Status tab.
* Select the Device status option.

Here you can check for the supplies status in terms of the % remaining for each toner cartridges.

b) By checking the supplies status from the printer control panel display.

On the printer display when printer is in Ready mode the supplies status can be checked from the supplies level indicator. Each toner cartridge and the Imaging drum level will be indicated by a bar which varies according to the level of the supplies present.

c) Print the supplies status page from the printer.

* On the printer control panel menu, press Menu .
* Use the (Right Arrow) button to select Reports, and then press Enter .
* Use the (Right Arrow) button to select Supplies Status, and then press Enter .

If any of the color toner cartridges and the Imaging drum have a low supply level replace them with genuine HP print cartridges.

The part numbers of the consumables are as follows:

* Black print cartridge - Q3960A
* Cyan print cartridge - Q3971A
* Magenta print cartridge - Q3973A
* Yellow print cartridge - Q3972A
* Imaging Drum - Q3964A

I have a message that says "Replace Supplies"

When the printer says replace supplies, it means that u have more than 1 supply to replace.
if you print a supplies status page it will tell you which supplies need to be replaced.

Hit the Check mark to go though the menu.

Out of toner........ but not really.....

Print a Supplies Status page to see the actual pages printed...

To print the Supplies Status page from the printer, on the printer control panel, select
Reports Menu, Supplies Status, and then Print Supplies Status page.

If the page count from the Supplies Status page indicates that the toner should not be in need of replacement then you have a bad cartridge. Actually, the cartridge is probably fine but the chip on the cartridge has got a problem. Return the cartridge to O.D. and get another one. Unfortunately, chips that don't work properly in not all that unusual so HP has a pretty easy return policy.

Hope this helps.

I have error 29 on my 210c

!!!! Magenta ink error !!!!
The ink has run out or the ink cartridge is not set into place.
26: Black ink
27: Yellow ink
28: Cyan ink
29: Magenta ink
1. Reload ink cartridges, referring to the Owner's Manual.
2. Ink cartridge PCB defective Replace the ink refill ASSY.
3. Cannot detect ink cartridges.Main PCB defective Replace the main PCB.
I know your machine was not originally showing signs of main board fault or Ink supply issues, although main board can be killed by incorrect use of maintence mode.
