Re: Microphone

My bluetooth headset has the same problem. it could be the distance between the headset and the phone itself. try bringing the phone nearer the headset, chest-level, maybe. if that doesnt work, you may need another type of headset.

Skype not working

Click this link for more information........

Also Check........

On a PC with external speakers and also a headset with microphone. Windows XP is configured so that standard audio are external speakers and standard microphone is the headset. Skype is configured to use the headset for audio in and out.

This way one can listen to sound from the PC and from MP3 players through external speakers and if there is a call to make or take, this is going through the headset.

But now there is the problem that the noise level for the headset is too low. Increasing volume has no effect on the headset, it only affects the external speaker's volume.

Now the solution: Going to the control panel and opening the sound setting, go to the audio tab. The external speakers are selected as default. Just temporarily select the headset and then click on volume just below. You can now set the volume for the headset, click OK and click cancel (!!!) on the sound control dialog box. This way the external speakers remain as default output.

Skype-->Tools -> Options -->Sound Devices-->audio device/USB/etc Audio Device (do NOT use windows default device)
You can also tick the ring pc speaker check box as this is a good backup to alert you even
if the main speakers are off or turned down.

Start-->Control panel-->Sound and Audio devices
On the audio tab set the default playback device to your main soundcard(AC97/Audio-chip/add-on-adapter), etc.
Your installed audio device must be present there.
If not, reinstall audio device

good luck

I hear my own voice when I talk on Logitecs H600 wireless headset

IF you are in Windows 7: -
1. Click "Control Panel" > "Sound" > "Recording"
2. Place cursor over "Microphone - Logitech Wireless Headset Default Device".
3. Right Click and select "Properties"
4. Click the "Listen" Tab
5. Uncheck the "Listen to this device"
6. Click "Apply",. and "OK"
That will eliminate you hearing any nose picked up by the microphone. Others will still be able to hear your voice as long as you have the headset as your default microphone.

How can I fix my Dynex Microphone

Plug the USB connector into another available USB port.
• Check your computer's volume level.
• Check if your computer's volume is muted.
• Check your operating system's audio input and output settings.
• Check the headset's volume and mute settings.
• Restart computer.

If these don't resolve your issue, I would recommend pursuing replacement options.

My recorder isnt working

Good morning, afternoon, evening or night; whatever time of day you are viewing this solution. Thank you for choosing FixYa to solve your problem. The recording feature of your electronic device isn't working properly? You should try turning the volume up on the microphone so it can pick up your voice clearer when talking. If you still can't playback any recordings, check the volume settings of your device on your computer. This is located in the Control Panel (Windows) and the System Preferences (MAC OS) applications of your computer. Go into your operating system's preferences and increase the microphone volume. You may also need to select your headset device as the default recording device (Windows) or the Output Device for recording (MAC OS). If you want my opinion, I think your headset device is not set as the default recording device. If you don't have a headset as the default recording device or output recording device, you can turn the volume up to the maximum setting and you still won't be able to record anything because the computer has another device (if any microphones are installed in the PC) as its default or output recording device. That's why it's important to check your system preferences for a headset to make sure it has the proper settings. I hope you understand this solution and that you can record audio on your headset. Make sure volume is turned up and not muted. Test headset, can you hear anything?. What program are you using to communicate with others? Check settings in that program.

People can hear background noises on my PC but not my voice

Perform some simple steps as follows.

1. Double click on the volume control icon in the system tray, that is on the right hand bottom side of the screen. Check if the microphone is muted.

2. Right click on the same icon, and select "adjust audio properties." You will now get a window that says Sounds and Audio Devices Properties. Click on the tab named voice on top of that window, and check what is selected as the voice recording device. Check in the drop down menu to change the device and use the "test hardware" option to test the mic.

3. Make sure your microphone is working fine. Other people are not hearing your music from your microphone, but from your system itself.

Microphone volume

I'm not 100% sure it's the microphone in your case, since I am experiencing the same problem right now with another microphone. I borrowed a working headset from my friend and it is not working either. My volume is up like yours and I can barely hear myself. I am updating the drivers soon and I'll let you know if that fixes it.

Cant talk

Try going to Control Panel -> Sounds and Audio Devices Click on Voice Tab and make sure the proper device is selected. Click on Volume and make sure levels are appropriate. Lastly, click on Test Hardware and wait until you can speak into the mic to see the voice levels. If you can see the voice levels, then your mic probably works and it is just an issue of configing the COD settings. goodl luck
