My computer won't respond

I did not touch anything on the computer and was doing research for a paper and left it for a second and when I returned the screen was black and the power lights were blinking. Usually when this happens I touch the touch pad and it'll come back on but this time it didn't so I tried to turn the power on and off and I also tried to turn the visuals on and off and it did not respond. Every time I restart it pressing the power button it comes on the same way and will not show anything I do not know what the problem is or how to resolve it Please Help..

Try enter em Safe Mode if u can enter, then u have malware installed on ur computer. Try to use this software : Spybot, AVG Anti Spyware, Ad-adware, run scan to see if there is some malicious software installed.

Restore toolbar. It did not return when screensaver had been showing and I tried to get back to work again.

Do a hard re-boot, hold down the power button until the lap top turns off. Then re-start and check to see if everything is ok.

One day, I turned my laptop (dell m1210) on, and I realized it was slow. The loading, the typing, and the videos are choppy everytime. Programs will stop responding, then respond again, then stops. It

if it is not responding many times and has become slow so it may be because virus or your window is going to corrupt soon so please install a good antivirus like quickheal and scan your laptop and if it will not work than re install window then install antivirus

If you can access the main battery remove it for 60 seconds, if this fails return the item, this is a manufacture issue.

Hard drive

It means that your HDD is damage, no good. Need to get another one and reformat your computer.
The way to troubleshoot any computer that won't turn on is checking the power supply fan to see if it does anything when pressing the power button. If you see that the fan try to start but stall, then there is a bad hardware install. What I do is take all the hardware out and start the troubleshooting by installing the hardware one at a time. When the computer stop responding after installing one of the hardware, then it means that this hardware is bad. You already troubleshoot the computer by installing the HDD and seeing that the computer won't start.

My cd-rom will not open. What should I do?

It sounds like the drive spring is bad. There's usually a small hole on the drive itself, you can stretch out a paper clip and stick the paper clip in the hole to see if it will release. If it releases, the drive's not picking up on the power being delivered by the system. See if you can swap it with another drive.

try this:
1. shut down your laptop
2. remove battery and unplug ac power
3. keep it that way for 2-3 minutes and then put the battery back in, plug the power cord and turn it on.

if you have no luck try doing a windows system restore and see if that helps. if not you should contact dell support or return for warranty.

Toshiba satellite Dead

Try to push and hold the power button. It more than likely went into hibernation/sleep mode. If this does nothing then remove the battery and charger, then put the battery back in and plug it in and see if this does anything.
