i lost sound in my pc.

in device manager the ''multimedia audio controller'' has a ''?'' infront of it and when i try to reinstall, it just keeps asking for the cd, which i dont have. help please!

i checked in belarc this is the specs of my motherboard:
Board: P4M266A-8235
Bus Clock: 100 megahertz
BIOS: Award Software International, Inc. F5 11/02/2004
