I'm hooking up a cable box through the HDMI port and I can't get the TV to accept the HDMI as a tv input
There should a button on the monitor to switch the input. Press it until you see HDMI on your screen.

try to hold the power button for like 6 seconds until u hear a beep...
it will reset the display and adjust it to ur monitor...

If it like my monitor, same hookups as yours, then when you want to use the hdmi port you need to disconnect the dvi cable. The monitor cannot read from hdmi & dvi when both are connected, Try this & see if your PS3 works. Good luck.

This is telling you that you do not have a High Definition Mode source connected to teh screen.

Yes. You will need a HDMI to DVI-D converter or cable to connect them. Be aware that you won't have any sound though as the monitor (unlike flat panel TVs) hasn't got any built-in speakers.
