Re: built-in sound card installer
The first thing to do is, you just go to the website of your motherboard, Example(ASUS) you can go to asus.com, or else, then search the model of your motherboard, after that just click the driver, then you can find the sound, just click the US to download the sound driver,

audio card enables your computer to play music with headphone. todays computer have inbuilt audio card in them.however if your computer don't have in built one ,or u want to upgrade your sound playing capabilities of your system, u can install it. There are basically 3 types of sound card in your system 1.audio (sound)card in *********** board 2.internal 3.external sound cards. mother board sound card can't be removed. However u can install internal and external audio cards and dissable motherboard sound.External card connect via USB.
you should not have a problem running the card, check these:
1 is the sound muted? control panel sound and audio dev.
2. is the card properly seated in the slot?
3. are the speakers working and plugged in the right port
4 control panel, system, hardware ,dev mgr look in the list for sound, video and game controllers see if you have a problem there, unknown device memory conflict or other.
5 does the mother board have built in sound? if so you will have to disable it in bios before you can use another card.
hope this helps and good luck
The sound quality built in to most mother boards is not the best quality. It is a compromise. The best solution is to install a high quality sound card in an available slot.
For video quality, it is the same issue when it comes to high quality video.
Before installing the new sound card, uninstall the existing sound drivers and sound software for the built in sound as necessary. You may have to go in to the BIOS set-up and dissable the mother board's built in sound. It is best to consult the instructions for *********** board to know the details for the particular mother board. You should contact the dealer for your computer to have proper details.
Turn off the computer, and disconnect the AC cord. Open the case, and install the new sound card according to the instructions that come with it.
When the computer re-starts, it should tell you that it found new hardware. Go through the installation procedure. There will be drivers and some software and drivers that must be installed.
If you are not used to this type of procedure, it would be best for you to take the computer to a computer service place and have them do the installation for you.
First of all when you installed the sound card and turned on your pc did your operating system detect the sound card. If it did then you would need to install the software driver. In some cases the operating system will have it built it and configure it on its own. If you installed the software and it you still got no sound, Go to device manager and find the sound card. If its there, right click and update driver. If is still does not do it then right click and remove driver. Restart your computer and it should detect your card and then reinstall software. now if it still does not work or detect your card then possibility bad sound card. Hope thats helpfull to you.
There may be a some file are missing from the sound device driver. You have to notice one thing that your sound device is inbuild or sound card . The inbluid sound device is attach from the mother board(it is like a chip form the mother board and sound card is attach in the slot of the mother board.
In the inbuild sound card driver is comes with the mother board cd any way you can get the cd for both.
Now i tell you the installation
Right Click My Computer icon and go to the properties
Goto the hardware tab and click the device manager
There you see the sound, viedo and game conntroller.
right click the sub files and click on the update .
Put the sound card on the cd driver.
and install the device driver and restart the computer.
