Why have I lost sound out of my Samsung NP550P5C laptop?

It sounds like the cable may be the issue, if you plug in your tv to a laptop / pc it should just work and windows will install the drivers

If you can download any previous version of the BIOS (Italy, English or other languages you know), then I think it is worth it to try.

There may be a driver CD/DVD that came with the laptop. Try using that if you have it.

Otherwise, Google you laptop to find out what kind of network interface card or NIC it has. Once you find it, go to the company website and download the drivers using a different computer and put them on a USB drive. Once you've done that, transfer the file to your C drive on your laptop and run the file to install the new drivers. Good luck!

before doing anything, make sure that you do not have the sound muted.click on the speaker in the bottom right corner, and check your settings, make sure that the volumes are up and that nothing is muted.if you do still have a problem.
Click Start, control Panel, sound, Devices... if this sub menu is grayed out, then you lost your driver for your sound card and you need to re install it again. if it is still there and it is in black and you can see the type of device it is. then leave it alone, it is simply muted.Tony

If you have a monitor for a desktop computer or can hook ur computer up to a tv see if you can get on that way. If you can it could be that the plug for ur monitor on your laptop has come loose and you would have to go online and google your type of computer and google how to replace the monitor and it will show you how to get to the plug and just plug it back in. usually there is a white locking clip that you pull up gently to take the cable off and when you replace it you plug it in softly and push down the white clip to lock it in place. the process is pretty simple you will just have to look up your computer to see how to get to the plug. hope this helps.

It sounds like there is a loose connection in the monitor. If the signal was lost the LCD monitor would show an alarm, so I don't think it is that.
