Sir/mam, you might have a bad drum density sensor or it was not cleaned or was destroyed by static electricity, if a vacuum cleaner was use to remove the old developer, NEVER use a vacuum cleaner for that procedure. Remove the drum and will see a small sensor near where the cleaning blade sits need to clean it replace it. Worse case the main control board is bad that what sensor talks to .Was the L Detect procedure run after the developer was replaced, and before you replaced the developer did you clear the developer counter, to let machine know it has new developer, because clearing the counter is the only way the copier has new developer, did you clear the counter for the new drum? The machine use the counters to determine voltages for certain assemblies. If L detect was not run and copies or prints where made get new developer and start over.
Main hopper toner replenishing motor M8 failure to turn. The output from toner bottle home position sensor does not go high within 5 seconds after M8 motor has been energized.Verify the conectors, sensor and motor.Open the front door, turn the toner bottle 1/4 turn clockwise manually with the bottle holder closed.Under the above condition does the toner bottle turn when the front door inter lock switch is turned on?NO - change the toner replenishing M8 motor.Does the toner bottle stop at home position after turning?NO- change PC35 toner bottle home position sensor.Recomanded use vacuum cleaner.
You did not give the model number? So, I'm going to guess, did you just add a new toner? If so remove the new toner bottle and close the door / cover and see if the copier comes to ready? If so, make a copy and when the copy is done install the toner bottle. The error code C0072 deals with the toner hopper motor. If the code will not clear, then you may have a broken gear in the hopper drive unit. Good Luck
There is toner/starter spilled onto a sensor near the drum, it mite just need to be cleaned, this sensor monitors the drums abililty to develope a image, if the cleaning does not work it mite be the sensor or the drum. The drum needs to be removed to clean the sensors.
A common mistake is that people think that the waste toner needs to be emptied and instead the toner needs to be replaced --- and vice versa. Check to make sure that the toner bottle is not empty. Also, if you made copies that took ( used ) more toner then the machine was able to replenish, the machine has not had a chance to catch up. Place a white sheet of paper on the platen glass and make blank white copies. You may only be able to get 1-2 copies at first but as the device catches up with the toner replenish you should be able to make more. The blank copies you make -- do NOT put that paper right back into the machine. Lay it flat and let it cool, this will help prevent unwanted jamming due to heat build up in the paper. IF you have good amount of new toner in the machine, gently tap the front line ( or rear line) that feeds the used toner into the waste bottle. Sometimes the waste toner will clog and back up into the machine giving false 'waste toner full' message.
The error code has to do with the toner bottle/hopper. You just adde toner Right? Take the new toner bottle out and make sure not to spill any. Then close the doors of the copier and turn the main power switch OFF then back On. Let the copier warm up to Ready toCopy. Then reinstall the toner bottle and that should do it for you. The toner was out of HP when the toner was replaced. ... Good Luck
