Memory parity 2000

Hi Kelly, we are dealing with memory problem, if you have available memory try swapping it, the other way is to remove any card attached in *********** board that may cause some conflict with the system, Isolate 1 by 1 the hardware installed from your hardware.
1. remove the memory module, clean the tip of the memory, the one connecting to the slot with rubber eraser or any rubber. If possible swap with good one if you have to isolate memory defects.
2. remove/clean any cards(video cards and others) in your expansion slots.
3. Boot your PC without connecting the hard/CD/FDD drives to speed up checking.
4. Once start up is okay without memory parity error appearing, one by one install the Harddisk, CD and FFD.

Dell Inspiron 6000, Windows XP. Page Fault Error. Laptop died with BSOD indicating Page Fault error. Won't start in normal (BSOD) or any of the safe modes (hangs while loading drivers). Any ideas?

This appears the be a RAM memory read error. Try removing one of the memory modules, and run the system see if the error still occurs. Then try the other module. If issue is only associated with 1 module, replace that one.

Memory can be purchased here: www.crucial.com

Blue screen and the charger works sometimes

blue screen aka bsod. when you get this bsod it will show you stop error code. you need to get the code to identify the exact issue you're having. If the bsod occures after the dell logo issue might be the video card or memory. if the bsod occures after windows logo then if might be caused by a corrupted windows updates or windows system file corruption. if the bsod occured after dell logo then check your memory if you have 2 ram modules try to remove 1 ram first then try booting your system using only 1 ram, try to swap and isolate reseat and teach eash slot on each ram module. if bsod occures after windows logo then try to run a test for your hard drive Fn+Power. If no errors it might be windows file corruption which needs to be restored or re-installing OS.

When i turn on my dell laptop it says mmi problem contact service provider? wht to do

That is a memory (parity) error.
It could be defective memory.
Try this:
Power OFF laptop
Open the memory access door
Remove all memory modules and put them back in, re-seat them well. This should work.

If you still get the error, remove all but one memory module and try the laptop again.
Power OFF and swap memory modules and try laptop again.
Which module failed? Replace it.

PC beep 5-2-2-1 code on startup, no posting

I THINK IT IS MEMORY UPGRADE, ALSO MAYBE A PARITY ERROR, SOME MEMORY DO NOT NEED PARITY ON THE CHIP SET, AND IF IT HAS PARITY ON THE CHIP THAN YOU GET ERRORS,

REMOVE THE NEW MEMORY AND SEE IF THE MACHINE WILL WORK IF SO THAN THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE NEW MEMORY,

RAM TYPE: EDO, PARITY AND NON PARITY MEMORY, FPM MEMORY, THE CACHING MEMORY NEEDTO TO HAVE L1 OR L2 OR EVEN L3 CACHING CAPABILITIES,NMI ERRORS .
not:::: EAch manifacture may have a different voltage in the curcuitry and it may have the wrong voltage but i think that way out there and not to even consider it.....

does the manufact even allow that much ram upgrade???

Upgrade from 512MB to 1GB

The specs on the memory are correct, so you purchased the correct type of memory for this motherboard. If your getting no video when you power on with the 1gb stick, I would be willing to bet the 1gb stick is bad. Can you return it and try another stick?
