View or download the manual at

http://dlcdnas.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/slot1/440lx/p2l97-ds/p2l97ds-104.pdf

The pins you need to plug onto are on page 34. All other motherboard questions are somewhere in the pdf, so it's best to download it and save it where you can view it when you need to.

DS Lite Will Not Power On

There is a possibility that your battery has developed a short circuit or is so bad that it pulls down the charge voltage on the charger. You are therefore left starved of a power and therefore no function.
If possible, disconnect the battery and run the DS on the charger power alone. If the DS starts to work, I suggest replacing the battery.

My ds is not turning on

check battery replace if need be, check that the switch springs back when moved up, try turning it on with the mains cable plugged in. Still no joy change fuses on the motherboard and eventually if nothing changes its a new motherboard or ds.

Does anyone know how to set up an old nintendo game

I am assuming you mean a nintendo entertainment system (NES)
You Need:
The gray master console
At least 1 controller
Power supply
RF Switchbox (Must be an auto switchbox) or an A/V Cable with RCA ends

The power supply & RF switch plug into the back of the grey master unit. Hook the RF switch up to the cable connection on your TV. (If using the A/V cable - it plugs into the side of the master unit & into a video in - yellow plug/audio in - white plug) Plug in the power supply. Make sure a controller is plugged into the 1 outlet on the front. Make sure a game cartridge is inserted & locked in (You push it down). The TV needs to be on whatever channel the switch is set on if using the RF switch (Channel 3 or 4). Turn on the power & it should work

My son's ds lite is melted from a short??? won't work at all

perhaps should be a problem with the Ds power supply with overvolt...try to change and test it with another Ds power supply... You said that the ds system is melted...If I were you I would open the Ds to search for damaged parts and try to restore it...or you can buy parts on ebay:

My ds wont turn on all i do is plug in the charger then flick the switch really fast then the light turns on for half a second then stops wat do i do I came home one day from a trip, I decided to use my DS...

Do any screens flash?

I would say its a fuse / grounding out / or battery is destroyed.

If you can, try a different battery.. Has your battery and/or DS had any previous water damage?

My DS will not switch on with or without the charger connected. When i plug into the charger the orange light flashes for 1/2 a second and goes out again, but no other reaction. My ds won't switch on but...

try to charge it with another battery,if that does not solve the problem then there is a blown fuse inside the board.its besibe the battery terminal to the right.but first you have to open the unit using a triwing screwdriver and a small precision phillips screwdriver.
