My CDP-CE275 Changer will not open or close automatic. It there a belt in these things. I had a CD stuck in it and had to take apart to get all the CD's out.

These units have optical sensors in them and the pickup assembly may have gone out of alignment. The Spindle platter can sneek down and put the CD out of range of the focus. I worked on a lot of these in a refurbishing business. They are usually not fixed at service shops due top the high cost to repair such and item.

Try a CD cleaning kit and follow instructions if this fails it is more cost effective to replace the CD changer than have it repaired.

.and a few with NO REMOTES so they would expect less for them. Your remote would probably work ok on any of them.

since it is a changer and not a receiver there is no volume as that is controlled by a separate amplifier.

Install? Like built into a wall or cabinet?

That is usually because of dirty or defetive lens.

Try first using a len cleaner , like the ones here.

If this does not work it will be necessary to take apart the unit and accees the lens to clean it, or replace the lens pickup. The repair must be done by a technician.

In this case call the number listed on the owner manual to get assistance

There is a rubber belt inside the loading mechanism, you should replace it by the new one. Cleaning the optical unit can be of great help also. If you need more info, please advice.
