Few issues with my sansa..

My 1st concern is when i connect the USB cord to the computer with the sansa in it, the computer identifys the sansa for maybe a minute or two and then loses connection, but the sansa will still say it is connected. The battery also still charges but i cant add any songs or sync my sansa. When i use windows media player it keeps saying "connect a device." Usually it identifys.

My 2nd concern is the songs that i do have on my sansa that used to work seem corrupt all of a sudden and freeze/really slow down the sansa A LOT. I havnt dropped it or anything, it only plays certain songs that happen to be songs i dont listen to often. Although i do keep it in my pocket a lot? During school hours.

My 3rd concern is a while back when i wasnt having the "1st" problem i could not erase a playlist off of my sansa, it didnt even show up in the memory but it was on the mp3. It refuses to download some playlists onto my sansa.

Please help me im growing impatient and this has been going on for a while.

Re: Few issues with my sansa..

Sounds like your music may have become corrupt.

You can follow these steps to erase and start anew.

Run the recovery tool from the SanDisk website. Make sure you select "format" when prompted.

You need to put the device into "recovery mode" before you run the tool.

- Turn the device off (hold power for 20 seconds)
- Slide the hold switch into "hold" position.
- Press and hold the "record" button while connecting it to your computer. Keep holding the "record" button until you see the "new hardware found" on your computer.

Then run the recovery tool. Select format when prompted.

Best of Luck.

SanDisk Sansa e250 MP3 Player with Mac? Is there any driver to make it compatible with Mac platform? Thank you

NOTE: MAC computers do NOT support MTP modes of USB conectivity in a MP player. A Sansa player in MTP mode when plugged into a MAC computer will NOT be detected or recognized. MAC computers supports Sansa players in MSC mode Sansa players can only be recognized by a MAC if the USB mode on the Sansa player is set to Auto Detect or MSC.
Check in the System Profiler Open System Profiler from the Utilities folder, which is inside the Applications folder. From the Contents column on the left, under the Hardware header, select USB; the panel to the right will show all the USB devices that the computer recognizes. It may not identify them correctly by name, but it should have the right number of devices listed. . Navigate to USB Mode settings. Sansa View - From the Main Menu, select More > Settings/Options > System Settings > USB Mode.
Sansa Fuze and Sansa Clip+ - From the Main Menu, select Settings > System Settings > USB Mode.
Sansa Clip, e200v1 series, e200v2 series and e200R - From the Main Menu, select Settings > USB Mode.
2. Select Auto Detect, MTP or MSC. e200R - PlayforSure is MTP and Rhapsody is MSC
See this tip posted here on this site for a better explanation on the modes - MTP and MSC. Solve your MP3 Player Connection Problem.

Can't connect!

Has to be Windows XP for either USB Mode but im not sure whether u can connect it to other computers under different versions of Windows or not and I know Apple computers dont work at all with the Sansa E200 series. Also connect ur Sansa to the rear USB inputs instead of the front inputs. Something that has to do with power distribution if none of these call their tech support they were very helpful with my issue.
