Bought this 1990 olds under the impression it was in kilometers only a short time later comparing it to the trip meter and diskovering its in miles not as good a deal as i thought. can i change it back,i live in canada.and this car was bought in canada.

the numbers on the odometer roll around not light up its a 1990 a older style.
there are 114000 miles on the odometer canada is metric so why does it read and measure in miles once again the push button reset trip meter measures off in kilometers to have my odometer measure in kilometers is my goal hear, someone must have changed it some how along the way because it originally measured in metric/kilometers.possible clue the trans axle may have been changed at some point.if that matters.
