Question about Whirlpool Duet GHW9150P Front Load Washer

GHW9150PW0 Whirlpool Duet washer will not spin F02 and Sud

I get Sud and 4 minutes later I get FO2. The system drains completetly but doesn't go into spin. Installed new pump. Removed and cleaned all drain hose's from tub to pump to wall drain.Still get same error message. I have ran the Diagnostis on the CCU and the pump will run continusly from C:06 through C:08 It will spin at the fastest speed at C:08 so it is capable of spining but just will not do it on a normal wash.I also replaced the pressure switch. Nothing helps. The new pump acts the same as old pump.

Do you mean door switch versus lid switch since this is a front loader. And is the door switch the problem or may be the problem.

It seems I did not make myself clear. Or you did not read my post past the F02 and the Sud.

I have did the following things trying to fix this unit.

Cleaned pump several times and there was nothing in it from the begining it was clean each time.

So the diagnostics that came with the unit said if pump runs longer than 8 minutes replace pump.

So I replaced the pump with a new assy. This did not help.

So I replaced the pressure switch, that did not help.

Also after I ran 40 or so rinse and spin cycles that did not complete. I removed the pump and all hoses and cleaned everything, that did not help.

Before doing any of this I removed each connector from the CCU and MC, that did not help.

A wet dry vaccum cleaner works far better for that than sponges. It is quick and no mess period.

MnFisherman, I have new pump, new pressure switch, but I do not have a new latch. The latch works perfectly no problem. If I have a sensor problem what is that sensor called and where is it located.

There is a sensor that relays information back to control board. If you have new pump, pressure switch and latch, the sensor is most likely faulty

Such an error can also be caused if using the wrong detergent which can
create sudsing. Only HE detergent should be used and usually only about
2 tablespoons, 1/4 cup at the very most.

Press PAUSE/CANCEL twice to clear the display. If the error repeats:

After looking up the F02 error code, I understand that this machine may not have the sensor.

"SUD" (Suds Routine)
When excessive suds are detected, a suds routine automatically starts. This routine removes extra suds and assures proper rinsing of your garments. "SUD" is displaed during rinsing at the end of the cycle to inform you that Suds Routine was activated. To avoid excessive sudsing reduce HE detergent amounts.

"FO2" (Drain Problem)
select PAUSE/CANCEL twice to cancel the cycle. Unplug washer or disconnect power.
Check the following:
Is the drain hose kinked?
Is the drain hose frozen?
Is the hose clogged?
Is the drain hose more than 96" (2.4 m) above the floor?

Hi,

Sounds like its possible with all the items thats been found in the water pump filter, it could have damaged the pump impeller. A new water pump may fix it up for you now.
Part#285998 (http://www.repairclinic.com/referral.asp?R=1265&N=1094146)
The filter is under the washer door. You take off the bottom panel under the door and you will see this white knob that screws off. Just make sure the washer has drained if not you will have a flood.

Tip 1: If you don't own box wrenches, a couple of wood paint stir sticks work just as well.

Tip 2: You don't need a lot of towels if you're clever and patient when you remove the drain trap cover. Place two large sponges (like what you use to clean your car with) on either side of the drain trap cover and only unscrew the cover enough to let water out until the sponges are full, then screw the cover back on, wringe out the sponges into a bucket next to you and repeat until all the water has been drained out. This takes time, but saves the trouble of cleaning up half a gallon of water that would otherwise be flooding the floor of your laundry room.

I had to go one step further because of where the fabric was jammed in the impellor (water pump). If you can't remove the material that's jamming the impellor by reaching in with your fingers, you may need to remove the pump/impellor for easier access to the material. To do this, unscrew the three phillips head screws that secure the gray, plastic flange to the white drain trap. One is on the hidden "back" of the gray flange, but you can easily find it by feeling around with your fingers. When you remove the impellor/pump, keep track of the black, rubber "washer" that may fall off the impellor. You can now get at any foreign material stuck in the impellor. Once the area is cleared, put the rubber washer back on the pump, and put the screws into the holes of the gray flange before positioning the pump on the drain trap. Tighten the screws until they stop, but don't overtighten because you're only screwing into plastic. Now you can finish putting the drain trap cover back on, remove the clamp and restore the bottom front panel.
