How do you turn off the loud chime melody every time you open the Jazz DV 178 camera. The audio settings don't affect it.

I had hoped that there was an unadvertised code or key sequence to disable the chime, but I guess not. I am going to simply disconnect (if I can) or destroy the little speaker that produces the chime melody. It doesn't do anything else that's useful so I know I will not miss it.
I don't think I need a group of "experts" to ponder over this, for a fee. But thanks for the offer anyway.
