Question about Garden
My homelite ut*10942-a 45cc 20" (low hours on saw) it revs up just fine and the chain spins but as soon as i try to cut the chain slows to a stop and the engine dosent slow.
i took it apart and the clutch looks to be in good condation.
the shaft that the clutch is on spins freely in both directions
i can spin the engine and hold the clutch staitonary
Could be the internals of the clutch have been heavily oiled--wash out with carburetor cleaner from an auto parts store. The internals of the clutch expand to the internal rim of the clutch housing when things rev up. Oil blocks the necessary friction needed between those parts. Make sure the chain sprocket is attached firmly to the clutch housing.
