Question about Acer Aspire 3004WLCi Notebook
I suspect you have the boot order in the bios set up to boot off the hard-drive first. You need to change this so the computer will attempt to boot off the CD rom first before it attempts to boot from the hard-drive. I'll try to describe how to do this. While the computer is booting push whatever key it indicates you need to in order to enter setup. Often this is the F2 key. Use the arrows to move up or down the list to an entry that will say something like "boot order". Usually you can select this by hitting enter. Then follow the instructions on the screen to move CD rom to the top of the boot order list. This may involve using the page up and page down keys. Exit and save. This usually involves using the Esc key. Once you set this it will always check the CD rom for a disk before it tries to boot from the hard-drive. It will still boot like normal if it doesn't find a boot CD in the CD rom.
