Our dishwasher does not fill up with water. I checked the overfill protection float and it moves freely. What other issues could be causing this to happen? Thanks.

- I have the same problem. I opened the door and turned it on holding the release switch with a screwdriver. I noticed the water inlet on the left side wall was just trickling water in. I believe the problem is the fill valve celenoid (part # 8531670). If you look on the parts guide on Whirlpools website it the one that the water line hooks up to. I found a couple of these online for $30, but will try to see what the local shops have around me. Will re-post on my progress.- jetur_riggs
