SOURCE: CanoScan Scanner can not complete a scan

Double-check all connections and try another port if possible. There may also be damage to cables or pins. Do you have another cable to try? Do other devices work in the same port?

There are no available drivers for windows 7 operating system for your scanner. You can download the official windows xp drivers from this link and before run the downloaded file right click on the file and at the compatibility section check the windows xp sp3 compatibility option and hit apply - ok. After this run the file as usual. This procedure will install the drivers is windows xp sp3 compatibility mode.

I have lost my AC Adapter (HDAD15W101-124) to operate my Medion life USB 2.0 colour flatbed scanner. Can I use a different adapter?

There are a few items that are important when trying to substitute an adapter. Obviously the connector must fit. After that, it is not so much the input voltage/current that is important, but rather the output/voltage/current as well as polarity. The output voltage of the adapter must match the device's requirements. The output current of the adapter must be at least as much as the device requires. Lastly, and most important, the polarity of the connector MUST MATCH, otherwise smoke and flames will occur. On round connectors, most devices have the positive terminal in the center (but mot all).

this is for the 3200F ..but in the same range cause I know for sure that on your model is a 12 V adapter ...take a look and if the plug is the same ...you can take it without care cause it will work ...

Power coverter to scanner failure.which unit should i buy? present one 240v 50/60hz.0.4A. output 12v.dc.i.25A

I just found my Canon 5000F scanner to have a power supply outputting 3V DC instead of 12V DC. I replaced it with a 12V DC Power Supply from Tandy rated at 1.5 amps. I had the scans getting darker by the day and sometimes completely black. Now I have great scans again. Just test the voltage at the plug that supplies the scanner for a healthy 12V DC with a multimeter.

What power supply is needed for hp scanjet 2400

It is depends on your scanner power adapter and where u purchase the scanner from. Here if your scanner is from US then the adapter power input should be 100-120V 60Hz AC, if your scanner is from Euro, UK or Australia, the it should be 200-240V 50Hz AC, while if your scanner is from others place that not listed above then it should be 100-240V 50-60Hz AC.
But the best way is look at your adapter itself, u'll notice the power input and output from the adapter sticker.

If you lost your adapter then be sure to purchase 1 that can output a 12 VDC, 340mA, 4.22W adapter to the scanner.

I have a canon D2400U scanner. When trying to scan a photo, the scanner does its little back/forward shuffle then slowly drives back, past the start position until it jams and the belt jumps on the gear. ...

I just had exactly the same pb; could find that the 12V dc power unit was bad; changed it and then everything is OK
It looks like the quality of 12V current isn't good (regulation failed)
For replacement I actually used a PC Power unit, and reused the DC cable (with the ferrites) for the scanner's plug isn't a standard one.

Power problem?

Ensure it is plugged in all the way. Do you have a meter to measure the voltage out of the Powersupply? it should be 12VDC. I would expect some sign of life even w/o the USB connected..

Not a mac person so this may/may not be relevant from the user guide

• iMacs running Mac OS 8.5 or 8.5.1 require a system update.
Please see Problems with the Scanner in the Troubleshooting
section of the CanoScan Setup Utility CD-ROM.
