Hi, my screen doesn't work on my compaq presario x1000 pc
Problem for Compaq Presario X1000 (DS829AV) PC Notebook
I have a compaq presario x1000 that wont let me
I have a compaq presario x1000 that wont let me get past the logo. It was working fine one day, but then I shut it down. The next morning I booted it up it the computer never went past the Compaq logo.

It is likely that the hard drive is bad or a memory issue. I would start by removing the hard drive and see if it goes past the compaq screen. If it does then you know what is wrong. If not message me and will walk you through the next step

- on the bottom of the laptop there is a small door. Inside this door there is two memory modules. Remove the battery and ac adapter and then remove one of the modules and see if it boots. If not remove the other module and replace the first one and see if it goes past the boot screenJul 01, 2009
- Ok on the bottom of the laptop there is a small door. Inside it there will likely be two memory sticks. Remove the battery and ac adapter, then remove one module at a time and see if it goes past the boot screen. Remember that you need one in there for it to boot.Yes
