Both Firefox and IE go straight to "crash" or "interrupted connection" boxes on one of our desktops. Others on the network are fine so I assume it's malware of some sort. Any Idea of what? Any options other than taking it into computer repair shop?
The reason I recommend you download the database.. is obviously on that PC, you can't use to the internet, and therefor cannot download or update it.
So, once you have downloaded those 2, put it on a flash drive, go to the PC with the crashes. Install Malwarebytes, don't "Launch Updates" at the end. Do not start the program. Instead, update it via the database you downloaded. - It is the latest manual update database for it at the moment.
Now, restart the PC. Enter safemode (F8) at start up - if you don't know what it is, or how to get in to it, google is your friend.
Once if safemode, fun Malwarebytes with a whole system scan. It'll either find and remove everything, or find nothing.
In either case, after you've done that - at least it'll clean your PC of other bad stuff you might have had - download the latest versions of Browsers, and reinstall/install them.
If problems persist, you can contact me further at grand_admiral_inzanio@hotmail.com or take it to a computer shop.
