Which belt? The cutting deck belt or the belt which drives the mower?

remove cover loosen egagment cable cut off old belt with knife install new belt around pullies and guids adjust cable engagment install cover

Your belt is to tight or wrong belt.

they changed the part number for that belt new # is 954-3068 B x 110.6 your old belt was probaly streched so when you install new one it should ride on pulleys correctly

you need to remove the belt guides and put the v part against the v grooves and the flat side against the flat grooves.check your operaters manual for a diagram.once installed ,put the guides back on and install the deck.

you remove shield from engine remove belt, remove deck from mower and remove pulley guards and install belt replace guards , reinstall deck, put belt on engine pulley replace guard
