Auto scan programs the channels. Auto scan detects the signal strength of the channel and adds the ones that you can watch.

You should have a menu button that will get in into the next menu for initial setup. It will be under something like channel search or channel scan.

Codes listed in my manual for White Westinghouse are 0169 or 0003 or 0014 or 0043. Are yousure though there isn't a flip down panel somewhere which gives you the option to access "enter"

I ran the Auto Scan. Before the scan reached 91%, I pressed the Menu button on my remote and all of the channels that it found locked in.

The easiest way might be to unplug the power from the set for several minutes, plug it back in and then run through the setup procedure. You are specifically looking for the channel auto scan function.

I have experienced exactly the same issue on two Westinghouse sets. Try turning the set off when it reaches 83%. When I turn mine off and back on, it has saved the channels -- at least the ones it had found before it got hung up.
