I don't know why. But if I had the camera in my hands I would check the settings. If the camera was in Automatic In the menu settings. Also how the White balance was set. It also should be in automatic.
It is great to try to achieve better pictures, by changing the settings, but the best thing to learn is to switch all settings back to automatic, when ready. So the next time you use the camera you won't get surprises.
If the quality of the pictures does not become better after you switched to automatic, you should contact a Nikon certified repair centre close to you.

How do I fix my colour picture that has a red/pinkish hue in the background

Hi, Go into menue and try to adjust the color to your liking. If it doesn't help much you may have to change the projector light.
If you need help look at google (youtube) Good luck.

My picture is pinkish and glossy

If the overall picture has a pinkish hue to it and skin colors appear to have pinkish blotches. White scenes have a pinkish hue to them then it is is likely the main display board, 6871QCH029A. This board is located next to the Y sustain board. Need to remove the tv from the stand to get to the main display board. I just fixed my Z50PX2D that had the pinkish hue to it by replacing the main logic board. Check ebay for boards.

TV flashed off and then slowly came back on, now has a pinkish reddish hue to the picture

Yep, I solved the problem. The TV gave up the ghost and finally no picture, just sound. Great deal on TV at WalMart and got a thin, light LCD 27" TV. Now, all I have to do is store this big heavy TV until unlimited trash day. Thanks for the help.

Camera takes pictures with pinkish sheets layers, sometimes melted

Melted shadowed and blurred pinkish pictures are symptom of defective CCD sensor.

The CCD sensor is the devices that captures light to generate picture. In your camera this part is faulty and must be replaced.

White has turned pinkish

sounds like the linear adjustment is out of whack.....most projection type tvs, projection, lcd, plasma, have to be correctly aligned so that the color grids overlap each other to properly display the correct hue being created. you'd need the service code to re-adjust it, or have it serviced. also possible that one of the color grids is bad, but if you have all three (red, blue, green) colors showing on the entire screen area i would doubt it

Blurred TV - double vision with red hue

I was searching online about what could be the problem with our TV and I came across your page. We have a 52" JVC Projection TV that now has a "blurred" screen. We can see the channels but it looks like it's has a shadow around the images. The screen in in a red hue with green blur.

If you have any suggestions on what caused this and what we can do to have this fixed, I would greatly appreciate your advice.

Pinkish screen and green blurred picture

Sounds like the image sensor is malfunctioning (common symptoms: distorted images with purple or green cast, completely dark images, flickering lines across the screen.)
