If you are a newbie, you are probably better off just paying 30-40 bucks and getting the professionals to do it. And there is plenty of those.
Otherwise, you can find guides to unlocking blackberries and such on the net. Just google up your blackberry model number and unlocking. That should do.
Be careful with doing it yourself though. I suggest that before you make any changes to your phone you find the software that you need to reformat it. That will save you a lot of anxiety in case something goes wrong.
