Auto and on only controls your blower inside the home. More info is needed to determine if you have a gas furnace, electric furnace or a heat pump system.

2006. Why doesn't it heat or cool?

Sounds like the fan is working but not the heating/air conditioning. These may be separate . You need to have an auto electrician look at the fault as it will need to be traced.
Check your fuses befor referring to somebody else for a diagnosis, it could be a simple fuse blown that will only cost pennies to remedy yourself

How do I fix the air condition control buttons?

Well, I can't tell by your explanation if the knob stem is broken & just spinning around or if it feels normal and nothing happens.

So, I guess I would first have you check all the fuses labeled "AC" or "Heater". Might be just a blown fuse, but remember, fuses always blow for a reason. There are many things that can be causing your problem like the heater/ac fan speed relay or a broken wire, etc.

I don't how auto repair savvy you are but, Google "Mazda 3 a/c panel". You will see many things on that first page like inexpensive replacement knobs, etc. There are even several YouTube videos on how to gain access to your ac/heater control panel. There is a wealth of information there. If you are not a do-it-yourselfer, you can at least look through there to educate yourself before you take your car to someone. Being informed ahead of time is very valuable.

Heater not working in extreme cold weather because fan wont shut off. fan has been replace and the computer has been checked. nobody knows what is wrong

I'm making some assumptions, here.. I've been told I make too many assumptions... but, I'm assuming that you're talking about the engine cooling fan.. If I'm correct in this assumption, my guess is that you've not taken the vehicle to a good, reputable mechanic or repair shop. There are several reasons that an engine fan would not turn off, and each reason would have to come from a qualified mechanic. For example, there is a sending unit for the air conditioning system that might cause continuous running... or a sending unit in the air conditioning system that could cause the same thing. To complicate that issue, quite likely your air conditioning system purposely kicks on the engine fan any time you run your defroster. Also, your inside heater should function correctly, regardless of the engine fan running continuously. If I'm wrong on that score, then your engine has a thermostat problem "to boot"... which, by itself, could cause poor heating of the inside of the vehicle. NOW, backing up a little, if you so happen to be talking about the fan INSIDE the vehicle that is part of your heating OR air conditioning, we have a little different matter on our hands... First, some vehicles legitimately have a fan running on slow speed at ALL times.. for continuous air circulation purposes (sometimes, you can't actually hear this). Also, I might add that THIS fan running all the time should not be a problem for the heater to work properly.

Possible that the vent is getting blocked to prevent the cool air to be blown into the fridge section. So make sure that the auto defrost is working, if not check the auto defrost timer section, the fan, the heaters.
make sure that the thermostat is set to normal.
Finally shut off the fridge for 6-8 hours and see if the cooling resumes. If so the defrost section must be revisited

What mode on my model hprbo7xc7 is for air

Hi, On all model stats, the mode you want for the fan to cycle off and on with the air conditioning, is cool-auto, not cool-on. With cool on, the indoor fan will continue to run all of the time. In the auto mode, it will cycle on and off.

Air conditioner is blowing hot air, it was installed 1995 , the top switch option is CONT FAN AUTO and bottom switch is HEAT OFF COOL and on the right is a dial from 10-30

First of all, what do you mean by hot air? DO YOU REALLY MEAN ROOM TEMERATURE AIR THAT JUST DOES NOT FEEL COLD? If this is a heat pump system, we need to look at it differently than if it is a gas or oil fired heater. Next, the thermostat control that says " auto"----- this actually means FAN switch to be in AUTOMATIC RUN or CONTINUOUS RUN mode. Leave it in auto mode and forget that it is there; this little switch confuses a lot of people. The dial that says 10-30 is centegrade temperature that translates to 50-87 degrees farenheit. In order to get air conditioned (cold) air, you must have thermostat fan switch on auto, the heat/off/cool switch on cool, and the 10-30 dial on 20 or 21 (68-70 f.) assuming the room temp is at least 72 degrees f. or higher. If you still do not get cold air, then there is a problem with the cooling circulation system which can be tripped circuit breaker to outside compressor unit, loss of freon refrigerant, bad control such as relay or reversing valve in outside unit, stuck heat sequencers or heat element relay that are giving you heat at the same time giving cold if it is a heatpump system. You will need a skilled service person to determine these problems. Goodluck, Macgivor
