How can I fix error 6000

Hi there

You don\'t mention anything about "blinking lights". This can help with diagnosis and correction. Please ind below some recommendations:-

This is a line feed error. It also should be flashing 3 times for this error on the on/off button.

Solution 1:

  • Verify that the paper tray is correctly set.

  • If any object is placed in front of the machine, remove it.

Solution 2:

  • Search for any small pieces of paper in the printer, or a tiny object.

Solution 3:

  • Power off the printer

  • Wait 30 seconds

  • Power on.

Solution 4: one of these parts could be faulty:

  • Timing sensor unit QM2-2683

  • Timing slit disk film QC1-6229

  • Feed roller ass\'y QL2-0925

  • Platten unit QM2-2923

  • Logic board ass\'y QM2-3078

  • Paper feed motor QK1-1502

My preference for sorting this problem would be number 2 if you experienced a paper jam prior to the problem.

Hope this helps.

Paper feed issues when there is no Paper jam. All the rollers move when the printer tries to feed paper. It'll feed about and inch and a half of paper and then stop showing a Paper Jam.

85% of paper jams are caused by worn rollers . The rubber treads in the rollers wears down, making them smooth, so they won't pick up the paper. Sometimes, they are aged, which also gives them a smoother rounded texture, causing jams. The quick fix is to liven up that roller with a mixture of alcohol and soap. Damp a rag with the solution and wipe the rollers clean with it. That's make them more pliable and the paper jams will cease. If you plan to keep your printer,

Replace the pick-up and feed rollers.

If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it and give a testimonial for my response

Thanks, Joe

I have a minolta copier (Di1610fp). The feeder does not work. When a paper goes through half, it stops

Try cleaning the media rollers with 409 solution. The media feed rollers become dirty after a certain amount of prints. The toner is a wax based toner so excess wax gets on them after a while. Dirty media feed rollers can also cause image shifting problems. I hope this helps you.

I have a HL-2070N printer and it would not print, the Paper light is red and blinking. Also, sometimes when it prints the pages get stuck half way out. Any solutions? Thank you.

Usually there is a sensor right before the paper enters the fuser. If the paper sensor is bad the machine will stop feeding and output the error paper jam. This is probably the cause if the paper stops in the same position all the time.

The error light is simply telling you that there is a paper jam. Open both the back panel (you should be seeing the orange roller clearly) and the front panel. Grab the handle and take out the toner and drum and check there are papers stucked. Chances are there will be.

Thank you for using Fixya!

Paper feed error message. spits it out fast and

Your printer has a fail safe mechanism that pushs the paper that it's processing out to prevent any other jams during the printing process. Your rollers must have something jamming it's movement during printing. You will need to open the printer through the panels on the back, front, and side to ensure that you see the rollers and remove any paper or debrise blocking hitched on the rollers or in the printer. You may also want to ensure that the holders on the sides of the paper tray where the paper comes in are lined up correctly. Also, make sure not to pack the paper tray to capacity. Only use the tray half full.

Paper not fully feeding from paper tray. stops

  • Check for jams
  • Make sure all rollers are rolling and feeding
  • Make sure you using the manufacture required paper weight.
If none of the above applies to your issue you might have a bad feeder the paper is getting jammed mid way or there could be something inside blocking it half way thus your printer will need good maintnance.

Canon pc 420 paper feeds only part way

I had the same problem. I found a parts diagram here http://techno-parts.org/canon/220/320_220.php which showed that the springs hold the bar down. On mine, on each side, one of the spring tabs was broken.

I made a metal pin for one side and insert a screw on the other. Be sure and wrap the spring over the nylon bushing.

Hp psc 1315 paper jam

Hi,

. Switch off the printer and disconnect the power supply. Allow any residual charge inside the all-in-one printer to dissipate before putting your hands or any metal tools inside the chassis.

2.
Pin down the exact location of the jam. The 3 hot spots for a jam are before a sheet completely leaves the paper tray, anywhere between the feed tray and print carriage or between the print carriage and output tray.

3.
Take off the front paper tray if the sheet jammed while still in the front area of the printer. If here, you should be able to see most of the paper.

4.
Pull the sheet with both hands and steady pressure. Do not tug as you might rip the paper, leaving a piece deeper inside the machine.

5.
Open the back panel to reach paper jammed between the feed-tray area and print carriage. Carefully remove the jammed paper.

6.
Use the carriage access door to get at a jam further inside the printer. You may need to remove the print carriage to get to the jam.

7.
Replace all parts and return any access panels to their closed and locked positions. Plug your printer back in and flip the power switch.
