Check the condensor coil to see if it is stopped up. The duct that you run outside to vent the heat that is being removed is attached to it. Does that duct move air at all or a good amount of air?? If coil is stopped up it will restrict air. Is the compressor running? If the coil is stopped up it is likely to overheat the compressor or the compressor start components may of failed. See if you can tell if it is running. It could be a bad compressor. Typically small systems issues do not have problems with freon leaks and you should never have to add freon unless you have a leak. Is there a filter on it check to see if it is stopped up. If it has ran with a dirty filter check the cold evaporator coil to see if it is stopped up. I haven't see. That exact machine but these are basic things to look for.
hi there you need to see where you bhave a gas leak thats all the flashing light indicates that your gas pressure is to low to activate your compressor
dcorey, Freon is no longer used. R134A refrigerant gas is what is now used. Unless, you have all the proper equipment to purge the system and then introduce the refrigerant gas into the compressor, on the high side and the low side, it's not a DIY project. However, you can contact Haier Consumer Support 1-877-337-3639 for an authorized repair center in your area.
no freon , go to walmart and by a can of freon and put it in. If starts to get cold then you have a leak somewhere -- usually in the condensor Most repair shops around 350.00 to 500.00 to fix.
simply "adding a can"is a good way to end up with non-functional A/C. the typical system has high/low pressure switches that enable/disable the system. you need to be at the correct volume of refrigerant as specified on the sticker under the hood. i recommend using the proper equipment, evacuating, pulling a vacuum, and then refilling the system with the appropriate amount.
it probably is low on freon....try listening under the hood for a clicking sound, while have someone turn the a/c on and off from in\side the car.....if no clicking sound then your compressor is not turning on....low freon.....
