Glossy paper is difficult at best. only 1 pickup roller. if you look in the paper tray area you will see it. open the pack you will also see it.

Book says mild soap and water. try some Alcohol and a swab.

SOURCE: not grabbing paper

Try cleaning the rollers again and fan the paper. When you clean the rollers, use alcohol and a lint free cloth. Don't put too many sheets in the feed tray.

SOURCE: my print keeps jamming paper in it the paper jams

unplug it and look for and thing in it like crumbs, flower petals, sticker, glue from stickers and the like. Purchase a can of compressed air and blow it out really well. If it is not too large of a printer turn it upside down and see what shakes (gently) out.
With a damp cloth wash off the rollers looking for debris or sticky build up from over spray of ink. something is tripping the pressure switch to the paper jam control.
Now if none of that does you any good...uninstall and reinstall the printer drivers.
Hope this works well for you, please leave a rating, thank you kindly

SOURCE: paper pulls to the right, jams, won't print, tried different paper still won't print

Hi,
Remove the jammed paper. Unplug the printer from the mains and PC. Inspect the rollers, etc for tiny paper piece(s) that may be stuck, or other debris. Try to clean rollers and make sure they are dry.
Keep printer unplugged for about 2 minutes and replug and try a test print.
Also make sure that you have waited long enough for the printer to heat up before giving a print job.
Finally, it could be an issue with the paper sensor. If this is the case, you will probably have to take the printer in for servicing..

Hope that helps!

When I use my Brother MFC-465 CN printer to print 4X6 photos with the photo paper bypass tray in proper position, it jams sending the photo paper through. Printer is set to 4x6; software set to photo as...

Hi there!
The compatibility of the paper may affect the issue that you are having. I have a brother printer also and prints on 4x6 size what i can suggest is to try turn the photo paper upside down, so facing the tray, 2 sheets at the bottom should have the glossy side up. and the sheet where you need to print the photo should be facing down. So when the paper roller grabbed the photo paper at the top it will smoothly pass thru,
Hope this helps! Vikroks

How can you keep the printer from jamming up paper with every print everytime I go to print a paper the paper jams in the printer, I checked for jammed paper but dont know how to reset it

reset printer

check if there is any paper (small bits) stuck in the printer which could be blocking the sensor or the rollers

also check if the paper is not damp?

realign printer heads using the software if it offers the function?

Hp2200D Won't print - "jam" light comes on - but no jam

Have you cleaned the feed roller? If it's dirty it'll spin but won't pick up any paper. Look at the paper after a "jam." Can you see any black roller marks on it? That's a sure sign of a dirty roller. If you suspect a dirty roller, clean it with a little alcohol on a cloth.

Paper Jam

  1. Press the On button and then unplug the power cord.
  2. Press in the tab on the rear door to release the door. Remove the door by pulling it away from the unit.
  3. Gently pull the paper out of the rollers. CAUTION: If the paper tears when you are removing it from the rollers, check the rollers and wheels for torn pieces of paper that might be remaining inside the device. If you do not remove all of the pieces of paper from the unit, more paper jams are likely to occur.
  4. Replace the rear door. Gently push the door forward until it snaps into place.
  5. Plug the power cord in and then press the On button to turn the unit on.
  6. Press OK to continue the current job.
