Question about Microsoft Xbox 360 Console

Sluggish Analog Response

I'm having problems with my 360 controller input. It's a subtle but extremely irritating flaw concerning the right analog stick, most noticeable when playing shooters. When I look around using the right analog stick it works, but there is a little over a half second where it is sluggish and slow to respond. If I push longer than that it moves at its normal pace but for the first half second its sluggish and loose, moving half its normal speed. It sounds minor but in practice it proves to be highly frustrating, as there is delay between the time you move the stick a certain way and the reticle responds. I have tried two different controllers which both have the same problem, which incidently materialized suddenly, one day I didn't have the problem and the next day I did. It's a very peculiar flaw and I haven't been able to find any topics addressing a similar issue, so I'd really appreciate it if someone here had any insights.

My left analog stick button won't work on my Xbox 360.

Try using the stick on the Xbox Dashboard. If this doesn't work, you need to use a different controller or attempt to repair your controller.

Issue with right analog stick - Xbox 360 Controller

I'm afraid I've had the same problem and I can shed a little light on it.

I've tried to fix this but to no avail. I have even transplanted the whole analog stick unit with one from a working controller to see if it will work but I have the same problem.

So, my conclusion the problem is not with the stick itself, but with the microcontroller inside the pad which takes the info from the stick.

I took the analog unit out, and plugged the pad into the computer without it , but STILL the vertical axis on the right stick was pushing up even though there was no input from a stick. It seems to be a fault with the pad, not the analog stick.

Xbox 360-no audio output

You may need to go into your TV settings and turn on HDMI Audio. If this is not enabled (Typically on HDMI 1) The TV will not ask the 360 for Audio and as such won't pull it.

The both of my controller the rigth stick quit working.

I've had this problem, too. I tried taking it apart, but to no avail. I was very lucky to get it back together in a semi-working fashion.
It seems that the right analog stick gets used a lot more than the left. I play NHL 09... ALOT! And to shoot the puck, you need to slam the right stick back, then forward. So my controllers burn out rather quickly.
When I took it apart, I found that the analog sticks are sealed up units unto themselves. So if something burns out, it just gets replaced.
My recommendation is that you go to Wal Mart & buy a couple of new controllers, & try not to be so rough on them. ;)

Xbox 360 controller left analog stick

If you bought it brand new, contact Microsoft ASAP.

Otherwise, no luck. Just an unfortunate side affect of playing a 360.

Controller Problem

most probably the controller's carbon button inside the controller is already worn out and is sticking on the controller's printed circuit board (PCB) there are some replacement carbon button that can be bought for a cheap price

if you are using an analog controller, check if the analog stick is loose in feeling, this might affect the controls as well because good working analog sticks are a little stiff when pushed
