The Desktop PC is a new one with updated software and should if anything be better than the laptop. The problem seems a lot worse if the stage spotlights are dimmed on and off.At times this can even cause total loss of the video image.I have tried running the data projector from the same switchboard as the stage control desk and where pc is located this has made some differance but not perfect. The video image runs through a 5 BNC cable which should be quite good and is also on a booster due to +-70 meter run.

I have tried VGA/RGB Cables with no real results and then went to the beldon 5 BNC which is better than them.I do have a Cat 5 cable over to there and was going to try running it over the with a scaler on both ends one to recieve and other to transmit.Somhow though I really feel that this will be just another time waster as this will also pick up the interferance.I am thinking it to be a problem with the power in the building being a problem.Calling all help ,Thanks

Dear friend

1.Remove the UPS connect the PC to directly because UPS may cause magnetic effect on Projector...then try projector... if not solves your problem

2.Check Your PC for VGA drivers are correctly installed or not.go to device manager check VGA drivers are installed if it is not install proper VGA driver for *********** board then try again.

3.If You are using PCI express or AGP card then check the display settings >>> Advanced VGA properties check Image balance settings..

I think it helps

You mention using a booster, but it seems there is still some attenuation or interference along the way of the cable run. Can you try connecting the desktop to the projector using a normal, shorter cable and see if the shorter distance makes a difference?

Thanks.

Actually such intereference is simply due to the serial data transmission error in the respective port of desktop PC. It is because, most of the data projector drivers and software are made for advanced laptops only but they are not properly compatible with Desktop systems. In that case, such intereference problem is very inherent. We recommend you to upgrade your desktop with all latest configurations & OS also.

It was my pleasure helping you.

It could be your source and not the projector. If it is a laptop then hit function four and change how it shares display. Over all I need more info as to how it is plugged in and what you are trying to view from.

First time using infocus 1x projector with this laptop - installed drivers but there is no start up screen on the projector and will not display laptop image.

You have to tell the computer you hooked up an additional external monitor. Lower left on the keyboard you will see a "FN" key. Across the top, your F keys...look for an icon that looks like a monitor. Usually F5, F7 or F8. Hold down the FN key and select the F5 etc key which is the command to display the image through the external port. Doing this once displays image through the projector and laptop. Twice displays image to projector only and three times returns to display only on laptop again.

LCD projector not displaying image of the laptop

On that Dell, you have to tell the laptop to display the image on an external unit--look on either F4 or F8--you will find a small TV screen symbol. You have to press and hold "alt" and press the key. The options are, 1-show image on just the laptop, 2-show the image on the laptop *and* something else, (like a projector), or 3-show an image on JUST an external display. NOTE: Sometimes, you have to turn on the projector FIRST, then immediately turn on the laptop so they boot together--just one of those strange things...(remember, **for example** first press of "alt" F4 will get you laptop and projector, second press of "alt F4 will get you JUST the projector, third press of the keys will bring you back to just the laptop)---Rick

Need to see display on both laptop and projector

On most laptops pressing the Fn key plus the F5 key (in your model laptop) several times will cause the video to switch to different options
In the various laptops I've used with data projectors it is the same.
If you plug in the data projector and power it up then the laptop then the Windows image will be on the data projector (provided the laptop's screen resolution matches the data projector).
To toggle between the data projector only, the LCD screen, then LCD screen plus data projector, and or back through this sequence, just press the Fn key and the F5 key to get the displays you want .

I con't connect with lcd projector, xp windows

The video output will automatically switch to the data projector first when you power up the data projector first and then boot up the laptop.
When you power up the laptop first you can toggle the Windows image between the LCD screen and the video port/data projector by pressing the Fn key plus the F4 key. Pressing these keys each time will switch the display from LCD screen to video port only, to both LCD screen and video port, and back to LCD screen only.

Problem with truncated image from data projector

You will need to setup the displays from the computer running the projector.

Setup the projector as being a second monitor pretty much and make the adjustments from that in display properties on your computer, or your video card may have it's own control panel for this as well.

Hope it helps =)
