Problem for Toshiba Satellite M115-S3094 14.1in. Widescreen Notebook...
No power to Toshiba laptop after replacing power plug

I have had a Toshiba m115-s3094 laptop for about three years and recently replaced the power plug as it needed replaced. I also discovered that a purple circular piece needed to be resoldered on the positive side. After replacing the power plug and resoldering, put computer back together and computer started up fine for about 5 minutes and shut off as happened before. The solder is fine and I can't find any shorts. Any help would be great.
