2005 lowrider vibration problem numb hands and

I believe your upper motor mount is damaged

Check the rear tire for wear and pressure,also for the front tire.

check your motor mount bolts. my top motor mount bolts had loosened and caused a lot of vibration until re torqued.

First, you must determine whether the vibration is being caused by the engne or something else. When you feel the vibration, pull the clutch in and allow the engine to slow down. Does the vibration go away? If not, this tells you that the vibration is in the chassis somewhere. If it does, it's likely to be something to do with the driveline.

Now, a word of information. A Harley-Davidson is a 45° degree V-Twin engine. As such, the engine cannot be perfectly balanced. A vertical twin or a horizonal twin can be balanced perfectly but the Harley engine is as far as possible from either of these two conditions. This is one reason why Harley engines shake. The Softail series of motorcycles use the "B" engine which is a counter balanced engine to get away from the vibration. In most cases, Harley does a pretty fair job of getting their engines balanced close enough to be rideable. There are some products out there made to help the vibration problem.

The last guy that wrote in here with the vibration problem was told his crank is shot!!! These are fairly new bikes, how do you get a bad crank shaft?? Somebody is screwing up. I was thinking that his cam timing was out of whack so it would miss and cause vibration like a funny car. But he didn't believe that one. Anyway, check it out. You might have to get a new bottom and swap your jugs and heads over to the new engine. Or just part out the old one and get a whole new engine. Hope this helps.

Bleed the brake system adding new fluid until the new fluid comes out in to your bleeding bottle you just changed it.

I'd check the motor mounts. The front mount is easy to get to but the rear isn't quite so easy. I'd check the front mount and the top engine stabilzer.

I assume that you've owned this bike long enough to know how it should feel. The Dyna series has rubber engine mounts. They do a very good job of dampening engine vibration once the engine gets up in it's rpm range. When the engine is idling, the vibrations can be felt then. When accelerating, you can feel some vibration but it should be bad.

Check your engine mounts and your primary chain adjustment. If it's something to do with the fuel system, I'm afraid that a dealer is going to have to check that for you. Good Luck!

You can check for a loose or broken motor mount but you need to consider how the rubber mounts work. The mounts absorb high frequency vibrations. Low frequency vibrations will be felt throughout the machine.

On most Dyna's, the bike vibrates when idling. When accelerating though the gears (and decelerating back down) if the engine rpm's gets below about 2000 rpm's, you'll feel the vibration. Once above this level, the bike smooths out due to the change in frequency of the vibrations. I have owned a '94 FXDWG since new and this is my experience with the bike.

However, if the vibration is very bad, you may need to have it looked at by a technician. You'll have to determine that for yourself.
