Question about Kenmore 55612 / 55614 / 5561 / 655619 Side by Side Refrigerator

1 Answer

Kenmore Elite Can anyone tell me why I am getting 120v on the neutral side on the light and auger motor.  There should only be 120 when light is on and the motor running.  This is what I believe is keeping the light and motor from operating.

Re: Kenmore Elite

You will get a 120v reading on the common side if the neutrals connect to another component that is running and you check to ground. Check the wiring diagram, all the common connect together at some point.

Dispenser door opens, but auger motor doesn't operate for cubes or crushed ice.

I believe that voltage to the auger motor should be DC voltage. Yes it could be a relay on the board causing this and it could also be the Auger Motor 2252130

Kenmore model 106.57022601 side by side. Ice maker works but the when the lever on the door is pressed nothing is comming out. My husband could fix it if we could find a manual. Does anyone have any...

Check the button that the lever pushes when calling for ice. Also check voltage to the auger motor. If your ice bucket is in the door then your auger motor is under it...also in the door. There is a little cover under one of the freezer door shelves that you have to take off. 3 or 4 screws hold it on. Right in there you will see the auger motor

Icemaker auger

To see how the auger goes back together, go the the Sears parts web site and put in your model number. It will show the parts list and a diagram. You may be able to print it out, Don't remember if there is a print option or not but if you have a screen capture program you could also.

Kenmore elite (106.53606202) ice maker will not dispense ice

When you push the ice dispensing lever, you should be able to hear the micro-switch clicking. If no click, the switch is faulty. The auger motor which is activated by the lever could also be faulty. This is the motor that causes the auger in the ice bucket to rotate one way for crushed ice and the other way for cubes. The auger could also be jammed. Try switching between crushed and cubes to unjam the auger. Empty the ice bucket and start again.

Ice Dispenser motor/Dispenser light

I assume that the problem is that the ice dispenser is not working. If you have put 120v onto the auger motor and it won't go, then obviously the motor is faulty. Reconnect the motor to the wiring harness and put your tester on the white & blue wires. Push the door switch so the fridge thinks that the door is closed and push the ice dispensing lever. If you get 120V to the motor and it won't go, replace the auger motor.
