Bad "GM Board" - power light flashes 6 times

2 and 1/5 years old and it just shut down - from a call to Sony they indicated it was probably a GM board" - (power light blinks 6 times) -any thoughts or suggestions - thanks

- Actually no - I have a separate indicator for the lamp - turns out it was that thermo coupler issue. apparently the first few model years this is located under the lamp and over heats - the replacement is routed differently. Fortunately I was able to get it fixed really cheap - its only a 8.95 part (retail) and a friend knew what he was doing

you have a bad lamp.that will cause the same problem
