Clipper won't cut cleanly or easily. Lack of oil and dirty. Sometimes a hair gets caught between the blades. Lubricate and clean your Clippers regularly.
You are right in
thinking that face shape does play a role in choosing hair styles. Faces can be
a whole range of shapes; round, square, oblong etc and different styles with
flatter one face shape and potentially look terrible on another. So I would
really advise you not to go for a 'one cut fits all' approach with your girls.
Ask your hairdresser for some advice. You can even find sites on the internet
now that allow you to upload a picture and then muck around with different hair
styles so you can see how they would look on you.
Does your daughter
have bangs? I find that wispy bangs can help to soften a square face. Avoid
cuts with straight bangs and very straight or symmetrical styles as this just
accentuates the problem. Anything wavy or wispy should help.
For hair I would recommend to keep your hair long and layered.As far as clothing I would recommend loose flowy clothing and clothing that fits, and wear clothing and jewelry that draws attention to your favorite features. Horizontal stripes are usually better to avoid because they give an illusion of making people look wide
