Question about Craftsman Garden
I am working on a Sears Eager-1 6hp self-propelled walk behind mower (Model# 143.956002) for a friend. He said he changed the spark plug, and it started, then died, and now will not start. I've taken the carb apart and cleaned all the jets/orifices/etc. Everything there looks okay, so I started looking at the ignition. When I check for spark with an in-line spark tester, it lights up, but I can not see a spark at the plug when I ground it and try to turn over the engine. Wondering if anyone has any ideas, or knows what the resistance should be across the coil? The spark plug is gapped correctly, and we've tried 2 different brand new plugs.
I have an old craftsman Eager 1 self propelled 5.0 mower. I have been looking for a manual. The model # looks to be 131.4402 its hard to read. So far I have come up with nothing.
