Ok so i have a problem with my xbox 360 slim i recently bought call of duty ghosts and i played it for about a month about two to three hours a night three to five nights a week recently ive tried playing...

Try blasting some compressed air inside near the fan (when the console is off and cool) If not, there is either something lodged pretty good in the fan or the fan is failing. Both would require you or someone to open the 360. Cheap fix though, considering the overheating hasn't taken too much of a toll on the hardware.

Xbox 360 is freezing with no red rings and an intercooler?

The freeze ups normally happen before the red lights of doom and they are caused by the GPU and the CPU getting too hot and the soldering snaps off so they lose connection.

If you stop the heat build up you will be fine.

You can do this yourself using a good repair guide or you can send it in and they will fix it for you.

As long as you stop most of the heat getting to the GPU and the CPU you will be fine.

My Xbox keeps switching its self off after five minutes and then two red lights are coming on on the console. Do you know what would be causing this?

Yes I do . Some times when console take a fall or get bump hard
it will dislodged the heat sink from the C.P.U. breaking the thermal
seal . Then the console will over heat in 1-5 min .

The Fix is simple . open the unit up and press down evenly
and firmly on the large heat sink to re-seat it to the C.P.U.
leave it open turn it on and repeat if it over heats again ,
sometime it takes a few attempts .

Constantly over heats even with intercooler

Try arranging the xbox vertically, if you havent already. The xbox and ps3 both were made for much better cooling when arranged in this way.

Unfortunately, if the ambient temp in your room is high, or if you live in a hot area, you may not be able to do much. Try to keep the xbox out of a cabinet or any enclosed space, and give it as much airflow as possible.

If all that fails, I would consider sending it in to Microsoft for repair.

Two overheat rings....but only on Guitar hero world tour.

The system is suffering from overheating which caused the solder under the GPU to loose contact with some of the board. We can fix this for you. We have fixed hundreds with the same problem. We are listed on this site.

New games for my xbox 360 overheat it.

All of the new games require more work from your graphics card, which without the new heat sync from microsoft, will over heat very quickly. You need to send you xbox to microsoft to have them fix it before you eventually recieve an error code or the 3 red lights or death.

Xbox 360 intercooler

I have 2 360's (1 core and 1 premium) and have the intercooler on the premium....after measuring the heat output it is reduced moderately. I would only recommend getting the intercooler if you are having heat issues with your 360 or it is in a small not well ventilated area. Hope this helps.
