F3 means your dishwasher water is too hot. Go to the link below and it will show you how to determine what is causing the error.

F3 code and beeping noise

Not sure which model number dishwasher you have. But usually F3 error means a water temperature related fault. The water temperature is too high. Hopefully you are not using the hot water supply of your house. If so then ensure it is less than 80 deg C. If using normal mains supply (cold water) then it is likely the temperature sensor in dishwasher has failed. Not an easy job to fix as it is integrated into the water heater element at the base of the drawer for the DD603 drawer type dishwasher.

I have F3 flashing on the dishwasher and it comes on by itself.

The heater unit is faulty. This is located at the base of the drawer and can be replaced by taking the drawer out.

The heater unit is available from FP in USA.

Fisher & Paykel Model DD603 Top drawer makes grinding noise while running.

Most likely the rotor is either damaged or there is some debris sitting in the rotor cavity.

Follow the instructions in the user guide to lift the filter plate. Then twist the collar that holds the rotor to free it up. Lift the rotor out carefully and check for debris in the rotor cavity.

Also see if there is any debris in the drain sump next to the rotor cavity. Take a thin rigid wire and clear the channel between the rotor cavity and the drain sump.

If rotor looks damaged you will have to replace it. Costs about $50.

Let me know how you go with this.

I have a Fisher/Paykel dual drawer dishwasher and the top drawer now makes a loud grinding noise - appears to be coming from the front of the unit. Any thoughts? Any home-based solutions?

Remove dish rack, spray arm, remove filters, remove the rotor (under the spray arm) Check if the rotor itself is making any sound or not rotating freely when you turn the impeller on the top. Replace if needed, otherwise - carefully check for debris.

The top drawer intermitantly makes the drawer opening noise

On the right side, near the top. there are two light pipes on the drawer. One sends an infrared beam of light to a reflective area on the cabinet, the other receives this light. Wipe these areas with a clean dry cloth.
