I just purchased a car and it has a Pioneer DEH-P8200R in it the faceplate will not latch onto the stereo. The arm thing that is on the edge is broken on the right hand side (when you are looking at the screen).

parts.com but you can fix it with jbweld. just remove the plastic with metal piece that is stuck to the volume button ON the faceplate and place it back in the center of the volume button knob. mix both pastes together and apply it aroun the plastic center of the knob. Ps don't add inside the hole where it attaches to the face plate. just follow the directions behind the jbweld pack.

Without an input on the front, the only way to hook it up would be to put an FM modulator either hard wired in line with the antenna, or over the air. There are more expensive options, but this will work just as well. I would go hard wired because over air is more trouble than it is worth. Don't use an XM radio hardwire kit, it only works with XM.

You need a ribbon cable replacement to the faceplate at the very least.
It's my understanding that there is an ribbon cable that needs to be replaced - it's Pioneer CNP6498 flex cable (CN871 to CN1801) at pacparts.com. Price is less than $9.00, but shipping there is crippling to say the least ($11.50 - WTF??!?!?!)
IF you find that the detachable faceplate also does not work, there is an additional ribbon cable that needs to be replaced. Try "DEH-P960MP" on ebay and you can find a replacement for less than $30 shipped. I received mine in 2 days and had it up and running within 20 minutes. It solved the problem.
