Have run into notebooks missing hdd password or dynamic cpu frequency mode section of the bios. the latter is hung at battery speed. tried upgrading is the bios but problem persisted
Get to the mainboard
there is a jumper near the cmos battery usually shows the
word (jbat) near it , try to change its position for some
seconds while power is off , this way will clear cmos and set the
mainboard bios to default settings.
start the system hit delete or F2 to enter setup then exit saving changes.

Ei ihu aig ?
The fix posted would probably work on a desktop. On a Toshiba M1 or M2 notebook there is no jumper of any kind I could find anywhere on the motherboard. Also I'm sorry I was so long getting back to you. I went on overtime on a seperate project at work.
i want to unlock the hdd password . i know that password . i remove user password from bios and it set to not registered . but hdd password still present . how can i remove hdd password ? i want to use this hdd in other laptop .
Same problem here. No option for HDD password in the BIOS. I think it was there before.
