Question about Televison & Video
Posted by Anonymous on
First, unplug the TV, wait 30 seconds to 1 minute, then plug back in & try it. This allows the unit to reset.
Be sure you AC outlet breaker has not tripped.
could also be the TV fuse or power supply PCB.
You should be sure to put a good surge protector in line with this TV as these constant surges are going to severely shorten the life of the unit.

SOURCE: i have a samsung hp
When the power was restored you suffered a power surge. Anything plugged in that did not have a surge protector was at risk. plasma tv's are especially susceptible to this. You will have to take this in to a tv repair shop for an estimate.
If the estimate is over 200 you may want to consider a replacement. Also purchase a surge protector so this doesn't happen again. Regards, Joe
