Yeah i had the same prblem too. So it's either the game disk's have scratches in the middle of the game disk or the xbox is messed up. I would take it in somewhere to get it fixed if something is wrong with your Xbox.

Disk tray is not spinning

The way to fix this is to open the disk tray and blow inside for about thirty seconds getting the dust out of the way of the laser also blow across the disc tray and the surface of the disk. Then keep closing and opening the tray and it will start to read hopefully. if this does not work go out and buy a disc cleaner. it looks like a disc with sponges on it and when you insert it into the console it cleans the inside for you. My xbox 360 dosent read my halo 3 disk my game dosent work when i put it in the 360 and now my game does not work

So at first Halo3 stopped working then other games stopped working?

Sounds like your lens is dirty. You can buy a cheap lens cleaner (looks like a cd with brushes on it). What I do is open the tray and pull the power when it is halfway open. From there I take a compressed air can and use an extension to blow any dust off the lens.

You can also copy your games directly to your hard drive if you have ample space. This helps with scratched disks and such. When you do this, you will still need the game disk in the tray to play.

Xbox 360

All dvd drives in an xbox360 are married to the motherboard. The new dvd drive needs to be flashed with the bin from the old drive in order for it to play games. We can do this for you if your interested email us xbox360fixer@verizon.net

My xbox360 is not reading discs.

It sounds like its the lense that isnt in the right place and it protruding to close to the disks wich maybe because you have dropped the xbox? or movede it with the game inside with the xbox turned on? which is causing the lines on the disk which in turn stops the xbox from reading the disks, there could be a number of reasons why, that is what i think. hope this helps, p.s. i would send it in as xboxes are complicated lol you may end up breaking it more.

Xbox360 that doesn't know it is one

I had the same problem,If it is under warranty send it in ,,, if not then you are going to open it up,, plenty of instruction on how to do this online (google it). see what type of dvd drive you have and then go on ebay and purchase an identical replacment drive. once you recieve it open up YOUR ORIGINAL DVD DRIVE and unplug the green motherboard looking thing on top(Big ONE) there should be four little tabs on this. put it to the side . now open up the new dvd drive and repeat but make sure you dont get these cards switched up.put the old key in the new dvd drive , plug in all 4 tabs, bottom one first. put back together and install back into xbox360. put xbox 360 back together put in disk and enjoy
