What is wrong with this TV

It's either the main board or power supply.. if there isn't a voltage on the 3 or 5 volt standby the power board is bad if the PSON voltage doesn't change with the off and on button pushed, it should either be low and go high when the power button is pushed or be high and go low..that varies with every set...if you don't get a variance then chances are its the main board .

Five blinks - AKB circuit (automatic kine bias), the timer/standby indicator blinks for about 30 seconds then goes to the self-diagnosis function. Something is wrong with the video. Check video out, Q705, 732, 761 and other components on the C board, also check Q218, 219, 220 on the A board. In addition, unit could be in IK blanking, try turning up screen slightly.

shut down the power to the machine,disconnect the touchpad ribbon,turn the power back on and let it sit for a day,if the code comes back you have a bad board,if it doesn't come back you have a bad touchpad

Try to push the menu button on the tv itself numerous times and see if it will go away (since the buttons are not used often they become resistive and it could be any button,if that dont fix it then the main digital board is bad.

Hello Cera if the line is right in the middle of the screen going form left to right than the problem that your tv set is having is coming from the vertical deflection circuit with either a bad component in that circuit or bad soldering on the pc board itself, to tell if it is bad soldering on the pc board it self in that circuit tap the tv set on the side if the picture comes up then you have bad soldering on the vertical deflection circuit if not than there is a bad component in that circuit which is giving you this problem and more than likely the component would have to be replaced, like the vertical deflection IC are known for this, what i would suggest is call a near by tv repair shop and get a repair quote on your tv set if it is more than 300 dollars than i would recommend for you to get yourself a new tv set thank you hope this helps.

This is due to bad caps read here what a cap is www.badcaps.net see you tv is getting hot as normal but the caps cannot stand it any more thus shutting the tv down. The bad caps would be more or less in the power supply unit of this TV. So you can buy a new psu or get it repaired by a expert.

I have a 32 inch tv was working great then went into standby mode and wont turn back on. I have unplugged and am waiting please help!!!!

Push the menu and inputs buttons on the set in both together and hold for 8 seconds this should make the led flash a two digit code. Let me know what happens after doing this test.
