Check your filter and make sure you have one in place and it is clean. This is either a low inside airflow problem or system is low on freon. If you have strong air flow from vents and filter is been kept clean then low freon is most likely. Run system in on position with cooling off to make sure ice is melted. When water stops draining. then restart system . If it starts frosting up at outside unit shortly after start up it most likely is air flow. If you don't have at least 15 degree drop from registers in a few minutes and indoor humidity is not too high inside and airflow decreases and air gets colder just before it freezes up then it is low freon.

Your system could be low on freeon, that is always the first option.

This second option can be rare. If you live in a condo/ 2 over 2/ or 1 over 1 home these systems have a fire damper at each vent and one above the indoor unit. These dampers can shut by accident. If the fire damper above the unit indoor shuts this will cause your lineset to freeze and shut your air flow down to almost nota..........

Is the vent fan working? There may be a substantial leak somewhere up in the attic. This could cause the ac system to keep on working until it freezes. How does the air coming out of the vent feel like? Is it blowing hard? If not then there is a leak or even a blockage somewhere. One way eveaporators freeze is because there is not enough air circulatting through it.

How much r410 gas pressure in 1.5 ton inverter ac

Usually on any 410a freon system you can use a pt chart, and for any other freons also. At 120psig yours indoor coil temp is around 40°f. You want this temp/pressure above freezing. Your pressures are going to depend on indoor/outdoor temps. Hope this helps!

How do i get my portable haier air conditioner cool off my house below 73

Air conditioners can only drop the temperature of the room temperature a maximum of 15 to 20 degrees F. A 95 degree F room temperature can drop to a maximum temperature of 75 to 80 degrees F. If the room temperature drops from 95 to 85 degrees F, Then the problem is having too small of a btu rating on the air conditioner or refrigerant has leaked out the sealed system which can affect the amount of cooling performance. You will have to buy a higher rated btu rated air conditioner if the temperature of the room drops by only 10 degrees F. Air conditioners are rated by how much heat that can be removed each hour. The more humid it is, the more work an air conditioner has to do. They cannot do more work than the btu rating that is listed on each air conditioner.

Samsung model#rs2577bb freezerworking good refridgerator not maintaining temperature

Not really a permanent solution for Samsung refrigerators with a evaporator inside the fresh food section. You will need to remove the shroud housing the evaporator and clean out the drain opening along with removal of any ice buildup. User Manual HERE
Here is a link to a troubleshooting page that covers your model=> HERE You need to clean and make sure the sensors at base of evaporator are clean and function properly. Also insure condensate drain below evaporator remain clear of blockages ice/gunk. Parts breakdown can be found HERE. I am here should you need me, Thanks John Tripp Appliance 911

Air not cold enough to cool house

Make sure the outside fan is running. Also check the high side pressure, I assume the 70# is the low side pressure, so you can tell what the compressor is doing. If the fan and compressor are both working, make sure there is good airflow through outdoor coil and check that it is clean. Let me know what you find.

My brand new HVAC unit is not able to maintain the heat in the house. The unit itself seems to be running fine but there was an accumulation of snow and ice on the fan unit. When I knocked all the snow and...

i hope the air condition is feet to your home ,if u have ceiling tall
the heat will stay high point ,and the air condtion will be on most of the time. if not
and the mode is heat
firrst:

clean the filter in evaporator (out side the house).
check and see if the engine of the evporator work and runing.
without wibrtion.
but the main reason is most unit hvac are not inverter,
so that mean if the tempratore out side is beneed to 5 degree Celsius (most of the time night) the unit will be frozen.
60 degrees f = 14 degrees c
you can defrost the buy chnge to mode cool.
other cohice ic to check the dieicer if u have it.

The AC will not cool below 71 degrees. Can it be adjusted to cool down to 65. It appears that it was set at the factory to not cool below 71. I do not care for that at all.

you have a air conditioner not a refrigerator. The reason that its locked to not go below is because any lower then that and the evaporator will freeze up and then liquid refrigerant will go to the compressor.
