What would cause the oil to leak after getting warmed up?

Doesn't leak oil until the car has been running 10-15 mins. Starts just fine, there is no pinging or other noise. The serpentine belt starts to make a squeking noise while running when the oil starts to leak.

SOURCE: oil light ....?

This is a faulty or damaged oil pump and screen as well. replacing the oil pump and screen will fix this issue. i would do this asap. your rod bearings are suffering at this time.

SOURCE: car shuts off when it gets hot

your ignition coil are going bad, they need to be replaced. once the car gets hot the circuit shut down the car when hot. once they cool your riding again until they get hot. thats your problem. Good Luck

SOURCE: car will start and run

Have an OBII scan performed (fault scan) Any good parts store - Autozone, Advance, etc can scan it for you and give you list of possible faults. Could be any # of faults and it's easier to have it scanned and fix what is wrong the first time vs throwing parts at it from suggestions

What will be the problem if i have a taping noise when i start my car until it gets warm mitsubishi 380

A tapping noise that starts out cold and goes away when warm is usually caused by a valve lifter inside the engine. The lifter may be worn/leaking down and will be noisy until it fills with oil pressure. You can try an oil additive ( Lucas Oil Additive ) available at most part stores works very well with noisy lifters. Another noise that can happen cold and go away when warm is an exhaust manifold leak. However, this is normally a ticking type sound rather than a tapping sound.

My 2000 Windstar runs well for first 20-30 mins then it starts to have engine knock it is also using oil but not burning it. Doesn't smoke doesn't show any signs of leaks under car either

Check your engine coolant. If its brown you may have a blown head gasket which is causing it to leak into the cooling system. (expensive fix) but if it's not brown I'd take it to a mechanic and have further inspection. Hope this helps:)

We have a 95 buick riviera with the supercharge 3800 v6 engine. It overheated, usually runs at 200 degrees and blew the oil dipstick up and oil splattered on the engine. Oil level is ok and oil...

The overheating might be caused by a thermostat stuck closed, have it replaced. That should fix the overheating, as for the hesitating, run a scan on the ECM module to make sure you dont have any codes, clear if any and fix anything that might've gotten damaged from the overheating.

My 1995 Intrepid has a 2.7L V6 and it starts to knock when it gets to operating temp. It starts fine and runs fine until it warms up and I can't figure out why. There's no water in the oil and it's not...

Here it is ,rod knock is because of bearing wear, that is where your piston rod connects to the crank shaft. It will get worse if you keep driveit that way and possibly blow the rod threw oil pan.if it breaks. Best thing is to stop driveing and get repaired be it gets worse. Your car is probly a high miler and this is what happens after awhile.,,,,,There is no water in oil because its not a head gasket,

Its cuts off completly after runnninng 20 min,but will crank back up only to cut off again and again and over until car has cooled down.

Check behind the distributor cap and see if the cam cover seal is leaking. When that seal leaks the car will drive fine til engine heats up the oil and it starts fouling out the distributor cap and rotor. When it cools down the oil hardens again and car run fine. I would start by looking there.

Nissan 300zx starts smoking when reaches tempture

sounds like your rings are leaking oil into the cylinder.. causes blue smoke. would not do it until it is warm due to the higher viscosity of the oil at cold. try some ring seal and see if that reduces it.
