Hi,

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).

click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

goodluck!

The manual mentions an add mode, turning the calculator into an adding machine.

If this is the case, you can do this test and see if it works to confirm that it is acting like an adding machine.

4+

3-

5+

*

Think of these as integers. The 4 is positive, the 3 is negative, the 5 is positive. When we add all these integers together, we get positive 6.

Good luck.

Let me know if you have any questions.

I assume you mean (2x12)/4+10-6 as in your first post. I can understand how you got the wrong answer of 3 in that case but not as you wrote it here.

Multiplication and division get precedence over addition and subtraction.

First, evaluate the expression inside the parentheses: 2x12 is 24.

Then divide by 4 to get 6.

Add 10 to get 16.

Subtract 6 to get 10.

If you incorrectly do addition and subtraction before division then you divide 24 by 4+10-6 (which is 8) and get 3.

- Hi, to "Subtract a >Higher (#,$) numbers from a <Lower (#, $) numbers; you take the "bigger number 167, place that number (over the smaller number 78 and from (right to left) take away numbers. Example: 167 - 86 = Think of 167 as $167.00 and 86 as $86.00, so to make $86.00 into $167.00 you'll need a $81.00 more. So if you think about how much more money you will need to "Add" to make a certain amount, it is just the same as how much you "Don't have! You have $167.00 when you go shopping for clothes, and you spend $86.00 when you count how must money you have left, it add up to $81.00 "That's "Subtracting." "Subtract (167 from 86 you get 81). " Always remember the Higher, or Larger number goes on top! " If you want to check to see if the answer is "right," add the two number together,(86 + 81 = 167). "I hope this helped you, rating the solution is appreciated, thanks"

Hello,

I do know what calculator you have but on most calculators you have digit keys to key in numbers, operation keys (multiplication, division, addition, subtraction), function keys (log, exponential, %, square root, square or a power) and you have the = key to obtain the result of the calculation.

Press the [ON] button

To add 2 numbers, exemple 12 and 13

12 [+ key] 13 [= key]. Calculator displays 25, or 25.00 or 25.0000...

To subtract

13 [- key] 7 [=key] . Calculator displays 6 or 6.00, 6.0000....

To multiply

32 [x key] 5 [= key]. Calculator displays 160.

You may have memory keys, to store values. They may be labeled M to enter a number in memory, M+ to add a number to the one already in memory, M- to subtract from the number already in memory.

Hope it gets you started.

When you want to complete a problem on an adding machine, such as "7 - 3," you would not key in "7," then the subtraction sign, then "3" and then an equal sign. If you do, then you will get an answer of "-4," and you know that is not the correct answer. Again, you have to think like an accountant when you are working with your adding machine. To figure this subtraction problem on an adding machine, you would need to key in "7," the addition sign, "3" and then the subtraction sign; you would get the answer of 4. You are actually working the problem as "7 + (-3)." This would be true on most modern day machines. In order to subtract, you have to add the negative number.

Enter a number, then press + for positive, or - for negative.

Example,

47 +

12-

___

35

It is bass-ackward from most calculators, and you will screw up with any other calculator when you get used to it.

Just remember what value the number is that you just put in (i.e. positive or negative.)

Any formula in Excel starts with the equals sign ("="). This is how Excel distinguishes between formulas and literal values. Knowing this, you can create lots of formulas using the usual operators of +, -, * and / for addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, respectively. Please see the examples below.

Add 1 + 1: =1+1

Add the contents of cell A1 to the contents of cell B1: =A1+B1

Subtract 2 - 1: =2-1

Add the contents of cell A1 from the contents of cell B1: =B1-A1

Multiply 1 times 2: =1*2

Multiply the contents of cell A1 times the contents of cell B1: =A1*B1

I hope this resolves the question. If not, please let me know.

First keep the manual aside .

From "columns of figures ",do u mean a set of calculations. If this is the case, if your calculator has brackets{ } or [ ] ,use this function to add or subtract columns of figures.

Eg: [789+546+123+852+6547+65]=8922

OR

[789+587+6598+458] - [ 548+2587+456+584]=

8432 - 4175 = 4257

I hope this solution solves your problem.
