Question about HP Pavilion N3295 Notebook

1 Answer

It's turned into a brick! I repaired a loose power connector and put the unit back together and voila! instant hi-tech door stop! The power connector now works fine; when I hit the power button the LEDs come on (power and charge as well as the "on" LED indicator), the fan comes on and the hard drive spins up but nothing else happens. Not only won't it POST it doesn't even light-up the display. I was really very carefull and I have done 100s of depot repairs over the years and this one has me completely stumped!

My friends ACER Model#MS2210 either won't turn on, or it takes 20 or so min for it to come on, and usually it won't stay1

Ouch, I get this a lot! Most of the time it's the connector on the power supply that powers the laptop. Folks think they can swing or drag their laptop across a couch, ect. by the cord. Internally it breaks and if you don't solder try a generic power brick (Best Buy, Rip Off Shack or online if your a tech.
However saying that it may turn on and then back off. Not good as almost every component inside your Acer is located on one main circuit board. This means this board either needs repaired or replaced. Check Ebay for your model Acer hope to find the motherboard from one that the screen was broken as either problem can turn a laptop into a door stop.

Motorola RAZR V3 LCD SCREEN went blank - black screen

The LCD flex connector is very sensitive. 4/5 of the RAZR screens I see go out are due to a loose flex connection. It's super easy to fix it. Take off the battery door. There are two T6 screws. Take them out and pop off the bottom of the phone. There are two flex cables: one for the keypad, the other for the screen. Connect the flat cable (screen cable) first. Then connect the bent (keypad) cable. Put back together. Voila.

How do I change the pc drum on a di 2010?

Hi to replace the drum on the machine you will need to do the following
select the tech rep mode then counter-pm-pc life press the clear key to clear the counter value turn off the power. Open the right side door slide out the drum unit from the left and right side of the unit remove the four silve screws two at each end now seperate the top part from the bottom part the top part holds the drum and the bottom part is the developer unit and holds the developer
you can buy the top part as an assembly then reinstall the new drum to the bottom developer unit put back the four silver screws you took out earlier and then put the unit back into the machine
You should replace the developer if you are replacing the drum at the same time now the unit is back in the machine turn on the power select tech rep mode then function f8 and then press the start key ONLY PRESS F8 if you replace the developer
you will also need to go into tech rep mode counter pm developer press the clear key to clear the value
turn off machine wait ten seconds turn back on this resets the counter
Tech rep is normally user counter then stop 00stop 0 1 press one after the other

Neff u1661n2gb/05. main oven not working and shorts out electric when try to switch on. top oven works no problem

I had a problem similar. The bottom oven stopped working and the left hand set of controls and clock died. I had three figure quotes for repair. I took the main control unit out from behind the switches, its a pain to do. I took pictures of where the wires went to save confusion later. I removed the main switch unit from the control unit by gently pushing back the inbuilt plastic clips. dont loose the small white connector piece on the end of the switch shaft. I gently pulled the switch knobs from the front then the knob extensions through the same holes. once the unit was out I turned it upside down I could see where two solder tracks on the circuit board had burnt out. I gently cleaned them up and bridged the gap with two short tinned pieces of single core wire I had stripped. I used a soldering gun as it gets really hot really fast and wouldnt damage the components underneath. the only fiddly bit when putting it back together was locating the bottom edge of the control unit in the little gulley, I had to bend the edge of the gulley down to make it easier. Once it was all back together it worked. Half an hour and I saved £300! Now I have to fix the hinges on the bottom oven door as it doesnt shut properly at the top. Any ideas anyone?

When the unit was running it quit the display went blank? is there a fuse somewhere, all i can find is a printed control panel. DU1055 model.

Does it function at all? If not it's prob not the fuseable link. I'd put money that you have a bad contriol (the circuit board has shorted). I have the same model. Mine shut down during a wash cycle - totally dead. It has power but doesn't function. The wiring diagram (located down on your kick plate) explains how to test various components. Two things you can do when the unit has power but is dead - Turn off the power to the unit. Open the door and unscrew the six screws that hold the top of the dishwasher together. The front top control will now be loose. On the backside there is a gray cover. push the tabs back and remove this cover - make sure the power is shut off at the breaker). Under the cover you will see your circuit board and a bunch of wires. There is a 14 pin connector that connects the circuit board to the key pad. push the tabs back and lift out the circuit board. carefully unplug the 14 pin connector and leave it unplugged. Put your circuit board back in and install the gray cover over the controls - leaving the 14 pin connector unhooked. install the six screws - basically putting the thing totally back together. Leave the dishwasher door open and turn the breaker (power) back on. Count to five and close the door. If you have a bad key pad your dishwasher drain motor will cut on and run for 2 min. If the control is bad (the circuit board) nothing will happen. The control is fairly easy to replace - costs around $122 bucks for parts. Hope this helps!
Oh yeah, if you want to check the fuseable link it's the round thing on the circuit board - has two black wires going into it. MAKE SURE the power is turned off at the breaker before you mess with this.

How to dismantle a VDR-D150GN Camera

Hello. If you want to attempt to fix your camcorder(I don't recommend it at all unless you have experience), go to Manualsparadise.com. Join the site--it's free. key in panasonic in the "brand" box, and then type in the model...the service manual for your model is 19.95+shipping, etc...
Your best option, seriously, is to send in the unit for repair. There are hidden screws, flexible circuit boards, EXTREMELY static sensitive chips throughout the unit. And, even if you're successful in repairing/replacing the damaged part, putting the unit back together without damaging something else is an art! Those small flex boards can crack, get pinched--tiny, multi-pin connectors are susceptible to mis-alignment or having the contacts become dislodged. Also, if the connector is released improperly(and there are different styles), it will break--causing a whole board to have to be replaced! If you want to know what you're getting into, just look on Youtube under camcorder repair or other such word combination--you'll be amazed at the compactness of modern, SMT parts!(means "surface-mount technology") --*Not* trying to lecture here--I just don't want you have a repair turn into an expensive nightmare in an instant! (and that happens to the best techs under optimum conditions!--remember Murphy's law,lol)---Good luck--Rick

DV2140 DVD player door will not open.

Most manual overrides involved pressing and holding either the eject button or the power button on the machine itself (not the remote). Try those first.

If that doesn't work reply with the following info:
Will your system turn on/off?
Are you able to play the disk that's in the drawer?

Do you have a different power brick to use? Sounds like the brick output no longer supplies the required voltage/amperage.

What is the DCV power output and Amperage of the brick?
and what is the Part number of the brick

Liftmaster garage door intermittent power loss

I had the same problem. Although it appeared to be the logic board, on mine it actually was the connectors between the logic board and the power supply board.
There are 2 connections on the logic board. One white connector with wires going to the main unit, and another set of connectors that plug directly into the smaller circuit board that holds the step-down transformer (120vac - 22vac). These pins were not making good connection between the boards. I simply bent the pins slightly so they would make better contact on the logic board and have not had a problem since. This must be a weak point on these door openers. Purchasing a new logic board would work too, as the connectors are newer and tighter.
