not sure if your on copy mode or print mode ..close the MP tray door....turn off then on go to general setup select tray 1. not sure if your on copu mode or print the machine wants you to add paper to the tray that needs it. if you add paper dowes it still say"add paper" .if this is the case then the tray sensor is 1)broke2) pushed out of the way folded3) tray feed roller are not installed correctly no allowing sensor ..make sure your printer settings(properties) are set the that tray.
2.may be you have given wrong paper size.u might have give wrong paper size.for ex for A4 paper u might have given some other size like a3. check this it will work for u
Probelm with pick up rubber. Replace paper feeder or just replace the rubber. Or add thickness of rubber by adding flexible double tape (about 1 mm). Add just for upper rubber.
First why is the tray set for size A4 Paper. That is metric size paper for oversea locations. Should be set for 81/2"x11, or 11"x81/2.. is there any paper stuck behind the 1st tray? are the guides that hold the paper in place in the draw snug up aganist the paper in the draw. is the bottom sheet of paper in the stack/rem of paper benton the edge. All sheets of paper in the draw must be flat.
Nothing to adjust feed mechanics. If it's temporaly print, you must feeed paper 1 by 1, and when printer grab paper, push paper by hand. If it's routine print, you can adjust the pick up rubber at paper feedr mechanic. Add double tape ( 1 mm, soft) below top rubber. I have done it, and printer can grab/feed paper up to 350 grams.
depends on the printer, normal home use printer have only 1 tray.
office printer usually have multiple trys. and usually the default for that is tray 2. tray 1 is manual feed.
Try pulling out the tray and looking for the feed rollers that pull the paper up into the printer. The 2 rollers should have rubber "shoes" on them (they look like thick black rubber bands). Remove these roller "shoes", turn them inside-out, and put them back on the rollers. This worked for me, maybe it will work for you too.
where to put the paper? There's a manual that comes with this printer, that clearly shows how to open this up, and add paper. I'd recommend you review that first. You may be thrilled when you find it
