Does it seem to have about the same compression as the other? Does it have equal spark? Any excess friction when pulling it through? When you had the muffler and carburetor off, did you notice any piston skirt damage visible through either port area. How about carbon build-up at the upper piston-side of the exhaust port--common on 2-strokes running heavy oil/fuel mixes. Worn/leaking crankshaft seals?

Its a lean condition... Its not getting enough fuel. Check fuel filter and fuel lines, be sure to use fresh fuel then either adjust the carb or rebuild it.

Its a lean condition, not getting enough fuel. Check fuel filter and fuel lines. be sure you have fresh fuel. and the carb needs to be adjusted or rebuilt.

Starts dies

Fuel lines could be collapsing from being soft, mush from ethanol in gas, possibly you have wrong carb kit, or something put together wrong, fuel lines reversed, double check everything then make sure you exhaust screen is not plugged, cause this will do same thing.

Blower is stalling out at high power.

Hi and welcome to FixYa, I am Kelly

Stalling at high speeds is caused by fuel starvation.

Causes for fuel starvation are:
1. Pin hole in the Primer Bulb (Item 3) this link: PN: 12538108660
http://www.partstree.com/parts/?lc=echo&mn=PB-620++S%2FN%3A+09001001+-+09999999&dn=7257

2. Fuel filter in gas tank is clogged. (Item 5) this link:
http://www.partstree.com/parts/?lc=echo&mn=PB-620++S%2FN%3A+09001001+-+09999999&dn=7271

3. Fuel lines damaged or cracked (Items 7 - 11) above link

4. Missing gas cap vent (Vapor lock) Items 15, 16 of # 2 link above

5. Diaphragm / gasket / float needle problem inside carb. (Carb service manual below see page 7)
http://www.zamacarb.com/pdfs/TechGuide_2007.pdf

The gasket / diaphragm kit that usually corrects this is item 34 this link: http://www.partstree.com/parts/?lc=echo&mn=PB-620++S%2FN%3A+09001001+-+09999999&dn=7257

I doubt that making fuel mixture adjustments is going to correct the symptom you have.

- Your going to have to check fuel flow from the fuel tank to the carb connection.
- Check for any loose screws on the top and bottom of the carb (tighten and test)
- Dis-assemble, clean with carb cleaner, reassemble & test
- Replace gaskets and Diaphragm making sure float metering needle is clean

Hopefully with this information you can isolate and repair the problem.

Thanks for choosing FixYa,
Kelly

Echo pb251h. Blower will only stay running if i pump primer knob. Carb was rebuilt, changed fuel filter, checked exhaust port, insulater appears to be ok, compression test around 100psi,new fuel lines and...

when the carb was "rebuilt" Did you pull out the screen and clean it out and also did you pull needle and diaphragm out and clean it out good, because if the needle is not working or the neoprene tip is swollen your needle adjustment will be out of whack, sometimes carb cleaner will make it swell up to where it won't open enough to get fuel through it....suggest you replace the needle and adjust your height of the tab to flush with the body of carb and make sure you have a good diaphragm in it along with new check-valve diaphragm, then make sure your primer is hooked up right ..it should be pulling fuel through the filter to carb and through carb and back to tank, your problem is definitely in the fuel system, keep trying different things you will figure it out

Pb413t starts........idles, but when I try to throttle up, it dies. I have tried adjusting low and high idle, but with no change. what do you suggest the issue is?

A couple of questions for you...
1. Are the plastic covers still on the adjustment screws? If so, you need to remove them. On most carbs, they are just pressed on and can be pulled of with needle nose pliers.
2. How old is this blower? If it is less than 2 years old, it probably just needs a carb adjustment. If older than 2 years, take the time to either rebuild the carb or replace it.
3. Are the fuel lines/filter still intact? Drain the fuel out and inspect the fuel lines. If the lines have broken (very common) then they will need to be replaced before continuing. If the filter has fallen off the line, then the lines must be replaced and the carb will need to be cleaned. There is a strainer inside the carb that acts as a second filter.

After you have the locks off of the adjustment screws, gently turn them clockwise until they stop. Count how many turns it took to reach bottom. From the factory, they should have been about 1.25 turns out. Set the Hi screw (closest to air filter) out about 1.75 turns. Set the Lo screw (closest to engine) out about 1.5 turns and see how it runs. If it still won't rev up to speed, turn the Lo screw out another half turn. If this is not effective, then the carb must be rebuilt or replaced.

Good luck!

Talon Blower/vac 3201 doesn't rev high enough

Fuel starvation - 'lean fuel' condition
Basic things to check:
1) spark plug
2) spark arrestor in muffler
3) fuel lines and tank filter
4) turn adjustment needles out (counterclockwise) 1/4 to 1/2 turn
Chain Saws:
5) check impulse tube and intake boot for cracks or leaks
*if all of the above are OK and/or do not improve performance then:
Remove Carburetor
6) replace gaskets/diaphragms
a) use a spray carb cleaner to clean jets, holes, and body of carb
b) fuel pump diaphragm goes against the carb body,
then the gasket towards the outside
c) metering gasket goes against the carb body,
and the diaphragm goes towards the outside
